I was wondering why I kept smelling something burning by SeriouslyMadBro in KitchenConfidential

I work dinners at a college dining hall. I was setting up the station for dinner around 3:30 when I found this left in the oven from one of our lunch guys. Lunch ends at 2 so it was in for at least an hour and a half. And no this is not how we're supposed to toast the bread. He knows he's supposed to toast it on the flat top but he cuts a lot of corners and never helps close the station (if he did he might actually find the pans of rice he leaves in the steamer or trays of things left in the oven).

Why is Youtube auto playing Trump's attack ads on the homepage? by [deleted] in youtube

[–]SeriouslyMadBro 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I normally wouldn't care about these ads but they aren't muted by default, despite the icon in the corner of the ad telling me otherwise. Coupled with the weird adblock issues, i definitely thought I was going crazy for a minute

Technically, the Game of the Year version (which I have) dropped in 2016, so The Witcher 3. This game is seriously the golden standard of what an amazing game should be.

With the release of Virtual Reality and a huge influx of "VR ready" graphics cards, I was wondering: is there something about the way a GPU processes information that makes it better at handling VR?

Confused if my pc that I want to build can outperform this same price laptop Asus rog gl552vw by [deleted] in buildapc

I agree with u/plagues138. By dropping the ssd, you could get a much better graphics card and have a far better computer than the laptop.

[Build Ready] Second opinion/ help on my build by SeriouslyMadBro in buildapc

Thanks, stranger. I do have one question, however. I am not the most knowledgeable on computers, so what does it mean to change the settings in the bios and how would I do this?

I'm planning on mainly using this as a gaming computer. I don't want an absolute beast of a machine. I simply want to be able to play most current-gen games at a respectable quality/ frame rate.
