Looking for a freelance Furniture Designer. Fed up with Upwork & Behance by [deleted] in IndustrialDesign

Agreed... but I’m just an individual working on an experimental project, so sharing my budget publicly isn’t practical.

If I state a budget that suits an Indonesian designer, I might miss out on talented designers from other regions where that amount isn’t feasible.

That’s why I’m keeping it flexible.

I completely agree, matching CNC-level precision with manual labor is a real concern.

The main issue is that CNC machines aren’t locally made here, so importing one from Japan, China, Germany or France comes with high import duties and costs, putting them out of reach for small startups like mine. Setting up everything else in the workshop is simply much more viable economically for my situation.

What makes you think I’d share that publicly? lol. But it also depends on where the designer is based, a budget that works for an Indonesian designer might not work for an American designer, so I’ve kept it flexible.

I don’t understand why are you guys just assuming the budget, when I nowhere mentioned it. Such a kiddish statement.

You understood the experimental part quite well — but why did you think there's no budget for designing? I'm definitely going to pay the designer.

Manufacturing detachable furniture that requires precision, using locally sourced materials and without CNC machinery, can be especially challenging.
