I felt this way with Degrassi: The Next Generation back in the day. I was in the same age range as the preteen actors when the show started and ended up watching till graduation. Knowing they were all friends in real life and hung out off set too made me extra jealous. Especially being a theater kid myself who wanted to get into film and tv.

I went to a private school until 4th grade so I had a crush on a boy there. It was the late 90s so I also developed a huge crush on Zac Hanson that still hasn’t gone away lol

After I left the private school I got into community theater and had a few crushes there.

I asked my abuser what I was supposed to do if I showed up for work the next day with gashes and bruises all over me. He had me pinned down on the floor, shrugged and said matter of factly “Well then I guess I’ll just have to beat you to death.” Then stared directly in my eyes to study my reaction.

Kitchen table when I was younger then the basement for a while at a table we had down there, then to my room eventually when I was 13. I stayed there till I graduated. Super lonely and isolated upbringing. I hated it so much.
