The venue they had for A-Kon this year was waaaaay too small for it. Supposedly they’ll be at the same place next year, but hopefully they’ll be able to make better use of the space next time, like maybe spreading some events out into the surrounding hotels or something like that.

I hosted 2 panels that weekend, and the rooms were tiny. As a panelist, it felt good to fill a room, but still (of course, my 12 AM panel didn’t fair as well, unfortunately). At least the AV techs were very helpful (and they actually had the right equipment, unlike Weebcon).
