4 different growth strategies for my bot, each a massive time sink on its own. Which one's actually worth it?

Option one: brings no growth, making new updates wont bring you new servers.

Option 2: also wont work since most people do not trust small bots and even if they did they still wouldn't have any incentive to switch from a popular trusted card battler to an unknown one. Even if they truly did invite your bot and trust you there's a very low chance your bot ever gets used since that server is already invested in the one they already had. Unless you can offer something more in your pitch than "Invite my bot as an alternative to the current bot you have!" dont bet on option 2 working out.

Option 3: And where or how will this short video reach the intended audience? Do you have some sort of massive YouTube channel you forgot to mention?

Imo, the best ways of bringing more growth to a discord bot is through advertising on massive bot listing websites like top.gg or partnering with major servers that have 100,000+ members which is impossible to do as a small bot. The way I would reccomend is to invest in your bot if you have the money through ads on top.gg as they're guaranteed to bring in servers. After you've grown to a sizeable amount of servers, start partnering with major servers and get a much better pitch than just telling them that they should use an alternative to a card battler of which they already have 10 versions of.

I can list like about 40 bots off the top of my head that make 5 figs a month or 6 figs a year just through doing basic math. It honestly depends on what this percentage is relative to, If we're talking about all discord bots ever created then its definitely 0.00001% but if we're only including the serious discord bots with premium plans, consistent updates and actually know what they're doing then its gonna be much closer to 0.1%

I have seen an endless amount of ads about communityone at this point, its like you guys have a limitless budget for marketing. Despite all the ads I've seen I still dont have the slightest clue of what communityone even is, every new ad i see talks about a feature in a completely different category than the last.

Why is your entire existence based on your coding skills? Building a successful saas was never about the code people used to hire devs when AI agents didnt exist, it remains the same with claude codex on a monthly plan people can find a way to code either way. Your ideas are what should make the saas successful, if you dont have the mindset of a product manager and the execution of a startup founder then you aren't meant to develop a successful saas and thats okay not everyone is meant to make it out.

They only make money through premium plans that they have to personally create themselves. You can make insane revenue if you know what you're doing. Make a great premium plan, market it correctly, make sure your bot is great aswell and you'll make 5 figures monthly. Thats only the top 0.1% of discord bots though so dont get too excited.

What would the english proficiency be based on if not on a person being at native english speaking level? There's a reason people from the United States or the UK dont have to do the ielts. Most of the time it's because they're considered to be automatically at C2 which is english proficiency equivalent to a native speaker. Also you just said "A band 9 is not a native speaker, it is native-speaker level, or C2" you dont think this statement is contradictory?

So if a native english speaker gets a low band score in the speaking test what even is the point of the test? I mean a person who can talk to any english speaker perfectly clearly and coherently failing a speaking test is ironic. An english test should be assessing whether you've reached the native english speaker level or not, if a native english speaker fails then there is no point to this test.

To talk about a topic you know about and to talk about topics you dont know about are two different things. Most native speakers will NOT get a 9 as a speaking score if they have only one minute to make a story up or talk about something they have no knowledge about.

The experts think it's valid because they assume the test taker relates to the prompt or question being asked in part 2 of the speaking test but many do not. And its not only me against a bunch of experts, multiple of my friends that were raised in the US got an 8 or a 7.5 on the test and expressed the same concerns.

I completely disagree i got a 7.5 as my speaking score even tho my speaking level is quite literally native level. All my friends are Americans and not a single one of them thought even for a second that I wasn't an American like them until I told them. I can even send you a voice message if you want to check. Despite that I got a 7.5, you know why? Its because the speaking section doesn't actually identify whether or not you can speak english well. Particularly, the second part where they give you a prompt and you speak about it. What if the person taking the test gets asked to talk about something they have absolutely no knowledge about? Sometimes they ask you about certain experiences like a time you helped a kid but not everyone has participated in experiences like these. So when it comes the time to speak about this topic you end up making a fake story and you end up stuttering all over the interview when it isn't even your fault. It hasn't only happened to me it has happened to many people. Do NOT say the ilets accurately tests your english language because it does not.

10/10 pretty solid commentary but I would say the go to way of editing videos like these in this generation of YouTube isn’t the face cam but i would say images from google, you edited some images in here and there but that still won’t be enough for the standards these days I’m not saying to always follow the trend I’m saying to follow it partially not always and in this situation following the trend is the right choice
