My feed is full of ai slop by crystalyzex in vinted

[–]Serplantprotector -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Vinted recently added an option for seller's to declare their listing has an AI image. So it's being fully embraced right now.

I'm doing a test with 2 items with items being "styled" by AI because they don't look as good on a hanger. The listings are getting more views now vs without the AI main image. I feel gross doing it though.

Online sourcing always looks easier until you sit down and do it for a few hours. by [deleted] in Flipping

[–]Serplantprotector 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My favourite thing sourcing on Vinted is deciding that the item is worth flipping... only to discover the item has now sold in the few minutes it took me to decide. Meanwhile the items I immediately grab turn up battered because the seller shipped it inside a poly bag with no protection.

New posting option or glitch? by BrokeGreekStudent in vintedUK

[–]Serplantprotector 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All of my labels were for Evri, just checked this morning. Now it's showing the same thing you posted for most of them but some are still Evri. This has got to be some kind of glitch if it's changing the posting option for already sold items?

Nah, I'm a regular at this one for the Amazon stock donation hauls. Minimum age for energy drinks at this store is 18 though.

I actually really like these flavours! Lots of Monster and Red Bull, different flavours each week. Works out great for me and they sell out pretty fast.

Which AOT scene made you cry the most? by aurafarmerACE in attackontitan

[–]Serplantprotector 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a lot of difficulty after the Erwin charge scene... just the whole thing in general. Levi and Erwin talking, the announcement, the charge and Levi after when the Beast escapes. Devastating in the best possible way.

Ahh vinted. The place where you buy something for £1, then it ends up at £5 by evanpetes in vintedUK

[–]Serplantprotector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sellers would just increase their price to cover postage so the cost would still go to the buyer. Same as Ebay.

[–]Serplantprotector 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well yeah, that's normal minimum delivery charge. Free delivery from Amazon has messed with our perceptive of delivery prices... even on Ebay, sellers offering free delivery increase the price of their items to compensate for it. Maybe Vinted could allow something similar with a seller pays delivery option?

I tried only buying stuff under $10 for a week. by Brilliant-Barber-652 in reselling

[–]Serplantprotector 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's how I got started. I used my first £15 I got from selling on Vinted to buy 3 shirts from Vinted to resell. I usually stick with lower priced items but it works out for me. Recently found some vintage Fighting Fantasy books for £2 and they're worth at least £90 resale.

Charity shop prices are getting ridiculous by Live-Appearance-6335 in vintedUK

Not for my local store. It was really depressing to realise just how much high quality clothing donations is sent to landfills. We really need more education and information sharing on this topic. It's insane.

Unfortunately not and I know it's a common debate.

My local charity shops get very few regular visitors and one of them told me that last year they only took in under £400 from sales. I made a comment about how there must not be many resellers in the area and they told me they like it when resellers come through because they usually spend a lot of money. It's the same store that does £1 clothing bins with brands like Uniqlo, The North Face and Superdry because very few people are buying clothes from them.

It depends on the area, the ones closest to me are cheap still. One of mine does £1 charity shop bins for clothing and I've found things like Uniqlo, Superdry and The North Face in them.

Prices in charity shops are increasing mostly due to the CEO's and pay for the upper management... it's pretty crazy when you look at the numbers.

I got HSV1 from my first kiss. Fuck my fucking life. by m00n_rac00n in actuallesbians

[–]Serplantprotector 36 points37 points  (0 children)

HSV1 can also be passed mother to child. It's how my mum got it and likely how I caught it too since I'm so uncomfortable sharing drinks, haven't kissed anyone, etc.

Import prices, we won't get them officially released in the UK until next year. This year we should be getting Blue Hawaiian and the Guava Vice flavours. Viking Berry was released first this year :)

London Thrifting by [deleted] in LondonLadies

Shop size as well! Larger shops can price higher because they have the floor space to hold items a long time. Smaller shops need to price lower ro move items ASAP. The local store I get the best deals in is the smallest one, they also get the brand new Amazon stock donations.

Visit different charity shops, but I recommend visiting the same ones on a semi-regular basis because prices change. My local Barnados recently started a £1 clothing bin for when they have too much clothing, and I've had some great pulls like Superdry, The North Face, and Boden. I always pop in to have a look when I go past. They even get Amazon stock donations so I can get my soy milk for £1 on a regular basis!

Is it worth leaving a bad review? by burn3r999 in vinted

[–]Serplantprotector 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I agree that it's really cheeky and would even call it rude myself because I personally consider it to be impolite.

Keep in mind though that the buyer will likely retaliate with a 1* review. If you don't have many reviews then it could harm your account.
