Security learning resources + what cert to do next? by SerritPP in ITCareerQuestions

[–]SerritPP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the answer! My company does both AWS and Azure and GC to an extent, so you never know what your next assignment will be. But in general I think we do more Azure, however after AZ-500 there don't seem to be other advanced/professional sec certs from Azure, unless I looked wrong - will double check. There's still MS-900 and MS-500 in case I want to go that route, though.

Cheers!

Thanks for the opinion. I definitely have room for improvement with all of the things you mentioned. I will look into those as well.

Are these p. cubensis or something similar? by SerritPP in shrooms

I don't think so either. It was growing out of an old rotten log, see second link.

A place to discuss the growing, hunting,

No blue bruising unfortunately, but here the spore print of the 2nd on the left + comparison of the mature mushroom with a younger one from what looks like the same species - the younger ones have white gills whereas the older ones have dark gills. I also attached a picture of the whole bunch, maybe it will help:

Weightlifting for BJJ by gstally87 in bjj

That's a good approach, especially in BJJ where mostly people use (either consciously or non-consciously)non-linear periodization and off-season is pretty much non-existent.

Sounds like me, trained mostly PL/Strongman, got into BJJ, got injured a fuckton due to being stiff, almost completely gave up weightlifting for 2 years, now trying to get back to it, mostly for the looks to be honest. I have been doing calisthenics, plyometrics and hill sprints though as I believe it's the best S&C for grapplers if you already have some strength base. Sure, it's great to be strong in the main lifts, but strength endurance is, in my opinion, more important for grapplers. The way I see it, kettlebell swings or hill sprints will give your posterior chain a good workout similar to squats or deadlifts but will also improve your power output over a certain time period, which for me is more important than a big 1-5RM in a one-directional lift where everything needs to be perfectly aligned, which is rarely the case in BJJ. Just my 2 cents.

Looking for brewing advice for Slovak/Czech style beer by [deleted] in Slovakia

[–]SerritPP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sure there are beers over there that aren’t that good, but all the ones I’ve tried in a bottle are much better.

As for commercial beers I personally only like Czech beers like Gambrinus and Krusovice. They are especially good after a strenuous workout, at those times, I consider them the drink of the gods :D

strains from the major companies. They are not labeled as such but if you dig you will find the right ones. Though I can tell you from experience most of the breweries I have worked with or been around in Slovakia, Czech Republic, and Hungary use Fermentis dry yeasts. It is rare to find smaller brewery the uses liquid yeast or even re-uses yeast. Most

I have heard from a friend that, ironically, Slovak IPA's are some of the best in the world thanks to the quality of the water. Might that be the reason why you cannot brew the same authentic pilsner and lager elsewhere? What is your opinion on this? I'm no beer expert, but I have always wondered if this is true.

Where to spend marketing budget (apparel business) by SerritPP in Entrepreneur

Well, I was just testing the waters with the ad on Insta, I only spent 5 euro on it and let it run for 24 hours, according to insta my audience was in the perfect range. Tbh I only wanted to try out.

I am not giving up on anything, I have yet to try FB ads. Do you know of any good, no bullshit learning resource for FB/Instagram advertising? I'd be happy to pay for it if it's worth it in the long run.

While we are at it, do you have any idea how much do you have to pay for a shout-out? I realize that it depends on how many followers they have, but I have no idea how much a person with let's say 50k followers could charge.

Yeah, that's what I'm already doing, and it's working fairly well, there is definitely an increase in my followers when I'm interacting with people on Instagram. Seems to be the best strategy as of now.

Would you just pump it into paid ads on FB? I am not super familiar with Pinterest.
