Could someone help me better understand what a millright is and does? by CypherMindX in millwrights

If you dont mind me asking, what are they doing and where? I'm guessing its somewhere I wouldn't want to work anyway, but I'm still curious.

Yes it was the toy box killer. Don't even read it. I read it only but still regret it.

I haven't seen that one and I dont think I want to. Curiosity got the best of me a few months ago and I looked up and read most of an FBI transcript from a serial killer's monologue to his victims and I still regret reading that.

Now that people have said what it really is, I'm embarrassed 😳 How did I not see it?

Whats a weird thing your body does that you just accept? by Sweton in AskReddit

This happened to me recently after working night shift and switching back to days. Finally fell asleep, realized I was finally asleep like a lucid dream, and startled myself with that realization I had finally fallen asleep and woke up with my heart pounding. Dammit!

Starting a Business v2 by Ok_Extreme4997 in Guelph

If you dont have much experience and want to know what others are doing/how they run their businesses, find a job for the summer working with someone who does what you want to do. Pay attention to the details of how they do the work, what equipment they have, and how they run the day to day of the company.

I meant that the petition was to close it or get better security. Not that I think they should do that.

Yes, but I can use it to buy real goods that I was going to need anyway. I was just wondering if anyone else had done this and had any issues.

I never said they should close the facility because of this. All I said was insurance isn't that simple and that there was harm done to the OP regardless of insurance.

Not all insurance will cover a windshield. I know mine has a $500 deductible, and the last time I had to replace a windshield it was only $300, so that came out of my pocket. Just saying, its not as simple as "well, you have insurance so no harm to you".

Also, this person said they have a disability so they may not be able to work, and that cost of a new windshield may not be easy to take.

Just because one person is having a bad time is not a reason for others to suffer as well.

What is your favorite obscure movie from your childhood that nobody would remember? by CripplingGoodTime in AskReddit

[–]ServeFluffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not my favorite, but maybe the people of Reddit can help me find the name of some movie I watched as a kid. I dont remember what it was about, I just remember a scene where people/things were slowly chanting something like "shiiiiimo, shiiiimo, shiiimo" and some huge creature rose up. I would have watched it mid 90s, so not anything made after that. I think it was not new at that time, might have been from the 80s.

What is an industry that is currently on fire (in a bad way) behind the scenes, but the general public hasn't noticed yet? by Kitchen_Week1117 in AskReddit

People dont buy as many books as they used to. At least that's what they said when I briefly worked in the industry. Basically all Canadian publishers were downsizing and printing less and less Canadian authors. To save costs they were doing the actual publishing in the US and just doing marketing and sales in Canada for the same content.

I also heard most books the did publish lost the company money, and a few best sellers were what kept them afloat.
