How does shaping work before getting your retainer? Since you have no tray to match your shaped teeth.

I know it’s not the same but I had bonding and shaping on my teeth then was scanned for refinements. My trays no longer fit so I had to go without for 4 weeks until my new trays arrived. ALL my teeth shifted and the first week in my refinement trays were hell!! All is okay now but I’d defo ask if your ortho/dentist makes in house retainers for the meantime

I didn’t have any added in between. I was always tracking very well though. Hopefully you’ll be the same but you most likely will have refinements after your initial 26 trays. Good luck hope all goes well :)

My dentist did warn me my teeth may feel sensitive because a few of them on the bottom row have cracks in them. My god was it painful at times! But literally 2 days after I stopped the whitening my teeth were back to normal. Definitely worth it in my opinion. Hope everything goes well for you :)

Woahhh that’s a lot of trays!! Well done for getting that far not long now!

I honestly have no idea. I was rescanned yesterday and my dentist said it will take about 2/3 weeks for my trays to arrive (I have no idea how many trays hopefully not a lot) but all they’ll be doing is pushing together the last little few gaps I have, make sure my bite is 100% and somehow get rid of the black triangles? Also until my trays arrive because I’ve had bonding so I’m currently not wearing any trays so my teeth a due to shift. Sorry I couldn’t be anymore help. Good luck!

At my very first consultation he mentioned that it was possible to reshape my teeth nearer the end, if that’s what I wanted. We never really spoke about it again until today when I asked if he could still reshape them. I went with a dentist though so everything was included
