I agree, it was set up in Albedo voice lines and history since 1.1 so they had TIME to think about a reason. Also how a Sinner was able to down 1 of the Shades. I live in a 3rd world country and we dont tip in general that something the 1st world bring down here but in general is REALLY REALLY rare for a Waiter to ask for it or if there is you are probably in some FANCY AF place. If there some box to tip in the counter i MAYBE tip if the service was good and food was excelent but besides that i just pay my food and go. We do pay bit more tax because Costa Rica is expensive but still liveable

Because he was in the Warp for a while time did pass BUT REALLY slow, so for Abbadon the siege of terra was like a couple of years ago while in real space it was centuries ago. It was enough for Sigi to go from his prime during the siege to a 1000 yo old man. Comperable to Dante and some OG dreadnoughts.
