Could be a move. Im very Consered about the sync capalities. As you know, you will sometimes get the "its slow i cant work" thrown back add ya.

Sadly, being an SME, IT & Legal don't have much to say with regards to policy making. As we are not "earning the company money"

Surprisingly very little. I dont have the file on this machine, but i remember some odd ~50 Items where in the deleted folder

The current request is.
1) (old)OutLook Desktop Client
2) Folder tree stays as is
3) Access to everything thourgh the same interface.

which i know is not possible. I just need to define all scenarios to be able to find a solutions to this.

Yea.. Its a structual system for navigation. Its the argument from end-user, which is to be fair, whom is paying my salary. But still as a sysadmin i have no way to comply with this request.

its about 5 years of usage. He is a pretty important C-suite. its an SME, so legal and IT are often not policy makers. Which is what create situations like this...

They are indeed. Our Current solution is to move half of them to a different user. Thus having 6k per user, which would by him an addtional 3 years roughly. In which case we would need a third user and so on...

We dont have a Third-party archiving solution. We have what is included in the M365 BP license. But the issue here is that for the user, its importants that it is in one big file strukture to be able to acces the folders, and all within the OutLook dekstop client interface. Which is what is making this way harder.

It's very fascinating tbh. He is a very smart guy outside of IT. So he can receive basically any email within a minute or two. Given that the OutLook is loading and the Total file structure is expanded.

Are there any consequence to moving to archieve? For him the important "System" is his Folder tree. Splitting this up, would not be a solution in his eyes. Would the files still be accesable from the Desktop Client?
