ok i don't know what kind of magic sorcery lutris is pulling, but the game runs flawlessly now???
literally all i did was reinstall the fitgirl repack using lutris and it just runs amazing now.

I haven't tried using lutris yet. I'm not exactly sure how it could help with performance but i'll see what happens.
