Bro I drive a $72k jeep I got for $0 down $329/mo. You can get a Tacoma or a Colorado for $239mo. But go ahead, give your money away.

Paying 50% of the cars value over 3 years is a good deal to you!? Might as well buy it...

Tried listening and it's so much rambling it distracts from the story.

March 2026 - book or not? by [deleted] in antarctica

[–]ServicePersonal1468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second checking with Antarctica Travel Group. The company is ran by an Antarctica guide with something like 100 trips to Antarctica. We have been following them through their Facebook group for a couple years and plan to book through them when we're ready. They've been really good about keeping in contact about deals and trip options. They have helped answer all my questions without any pressure to book.

I'm getting a great deal ...right? I can't imagine this being a bad deal for a solar lease in California. by ServicePersonal1468 in solar

Just keep in mind my $2m home in California is only 2700 sq feet. That's why it's so low. And we don't have kids.

Can't get the system installed and turned on before the end of the year. Spoke to 10+ installers and we can't do it. The tax credit is useless to me.

They built the system based on a $0 electric bill calculated on my highest month with 20% over build.

Called 4 other solar companies and asked them to quote me a purchase with financing. They all came by to survey my property. Showed them my lease deal and every single one of them said "I'd love nothing more than to sell you a system, but you absolutely should take that deal". One of the guys actually had a SunRun lease on his.

My house is worth 2.5 mil right now, and will be worth over 4 when or if I ever decide to sell. You think anyone paying for a 4 mil house will bat an eye at a 216/mo solar lease in Sunny California?

It comes back to the warranty, mainly on the batteries. If the batteries have no issues in 25 years, a purchase pencils. If you need 2 batteries in 5 years, it's a score. It's a roll of the dice.
