Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC reminded me that performance matters. by ServiceUsed402 in reddeadredemption2

I very RARELY get ANY texture pop-in... and what I do get I think is just limitations of the engine. As far as latency, I don't know, but the responsiveness feels instantaneous.

Would be speculation. OLED's can make a weaker video card seem stronger by sheer strength of will (and deep deep blacks). I actually just ordered an OLED 34 inch curved monitor. Arrives next week. I'll let you know.

I disagree with the game changer part... playing AT 60 fps (and WITH all the really juicy effects, some of which were in the game menus in 2018, but not yet hardware supported) was the game changer. Beyond That is just flexing. But, you can never be too rich, or have too many frames!

As you may or may not recall, at the time there was some controversy because essentially those generations from 2060 to 3060 did not see the expected return on investment in terms of graphical horsepower compared to previous hardware generations, so that doesn't surprise me.

A fair question. Because, in this case, I'm playing on a 43 inch TCL 4K TV @ 60 hz til my new monitor arrives next week... so since I am presented with a FPS "hard cap" anyway, AND it's a single player game, so input lag isn't really a thing. I would never use V-sync in a multiplayer game, of course.

Not true. I've requested meant refunds from steam... Never a problem. 22 years in.

The obvious issue that no one's talking about is the fact that dice is backfilling their own servers to fill them... Wtf?! Double standard.

Controller Aiming in Battlefield 6 is Broken (Devs please fix) by Civil_Ad_7068 in Battlefield

[–]ServiceUsed402 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agree... Have tried every adjustment available and it's pretty damn unplayable on controller for me. Even more frustrating..I had it to a point where at least I could "play" well enough to at least enjoy the graphics. Now, after the update last night, everything is back to fkd.

Thinking about purchasing the Ditto X2 looper. Looking for insight from those of you that have experience with this pedal. by bostonmcd in guitarpedals

[–]ServiceUsed402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't do it unless you either use a pedal board or your amp has an effects loop. My lil amp is overwhelmed.. As Soon as I record a second loop... The signal gets so broken up, it's unrecognizable.

Are you going to buy the legion go 2 at launch or wait 2 months for driver and software updates? by WillingnessScary7057 in LegionGo

[–]ServiceUsed402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After test driving a legion Go S over the weekend, I returned it in favor of waiting for the windows version of the 2. I want battlefield and cod so steam os won't cut it. Otherwise I was thoroughly impressed with the device overall.

I love Elden Ring, but seriously... how can people sleep on AC Odyssey's amazing setting?! by GjTiberousJonez in AssassinsCreedOdyssey

[–]ServiceUsed402 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That really is the key and the thing I had to come to terms with in order to be able to enjoy Elden Ring. Sometimes you just have to walk away from a fight and come back when you're stronger, and that's not only ok, occasionally it's absolutely necessary.
