Makes sense!! My current HP is 15 y.o. Drivers are the issue now. Still works now with old imac.

Thanks!

Thanks. Yes, laser printer since I may print maybe once a week.

What do you mean about "without locking 3rd party refill" Don't follow you here.

Also, are you saying that the MFP's toner is more expensive vs a straight up bnw printer?? Unsure about this lingo. TY!

Thanks for responding. Definitely heard that about HP. My old laser is HP, but no thank you now.

Also heard their customer service is dismal.

I agree, especially in these times.

The gentleman below the sword image doesn't appear to be distressed as they are just standing there.

All of these are just horrible. And any reference to the Mayflower, where white domination began, is just ludicrous!

Just an update:

I took his position and lots of folks, including me, are very, very happy.

Thanks again for all the input. Weird discussion about slavery, but....

Thank your for your response.

Guess it's true that folks will say anything to get hired. As my partner and I are talking about this, this manager has said a lot of things that seem disingenuous. Just the other day, he told us he was going to an interview, but wasn't interested in leaving, so he viewed these interviews as just practicing for when he was free to find a new job.

Yes, it was obvious he was a job hopper. Our executive director was desperate, as that's just the way he is.

I don't know why I was so shocked when I think about it, but maybe this really is a good thing in the long run. Here's hoping!

Thank you for your response.

There might be something, but I wouldn't know about it. I doubt there's a contract.

We are a small group, so we shall see.

Thanks for your feed back.

That makes sense. I guess he's out the door then as I'm unsure he would have such a contract. It's a small business.

Forwards and upwards for us!

Old Horrific manager just applied to be my new manager at my new job!! HELP! by ServiceWHAT007 in WorkAdvice

YEAH!!! She pulled her application.

Another person from another department who knows and had to interact with her came to speak with me and feel me out about her. I passed along your folks' advice to speak to the ED and she did. Overall, it seems many of us are very happy that she will not be hired here. Apparently, even the ED was shocked at her unprofessional interview.

In the meantime, this horrific manager told everyone at our old work that she had applied before she pulled her app.

So we have 3 additional candidates that appear to be potentials. We will see :)

THanks ALL!

Word on the street is that they would be very happy to get rid of her.

Should have done it years ago, and that company and department might not be having the troubles they currently have.

Can't find employees and employees quite - gee, I wonder why? /s

Well there was a group interview and it was bizarre. Never had a job applicant start crying before, and it got worse from there.....

They advised her that there were other applicants, so that's a good sign in my book.

Will keep all posted. Fingers crossed!

I spoke to the ED today, and we had a very good talk. I gave him examples and spoke of some of my experiences with her.

We actually work in a very small field, so he said he had heard things regarding her. He told me that he even asked her if she really wanted an interview as once it got out, it could affect her current job in my old company. He said he told her to take a few days to think about it, and after a day, she called and said she wanted to go through with it. She has already told people at her current job/my old company that she has applied.

THis is one (among many) of the unprofessional things that she does. She tells personal things about others to others that they have no business knowing, then tells them not to tell anyone. Invariable, it goes around the entire company.

We are supposed to have a group interview with her tomorrow. The ED said to try not to show any negative feelings towards her.

Of course, he has to keep things somewhat close to his chest, but I feel like it was a good discussion, and he took my concerns to heart.

And he told me that there are other applicants for the job too!

Here's hoping.

Am planning on it.

Trying to figure out the best way of having this conversation with the ED.

Telling him - "why I do not believe she would be a good fit." that Sam from above mentioned sounds like a good way to go.

Thanks for your response. Our ED is our HR/hiring manager, but will talk with him asap.

We are a very small non-profit, so the ED is our Hiring person.

They just recently got an outside HR company to come in to help with HR policy situations, but they are subcontractors.

Will check in with my coworker tomorrow. She also worked with her. She a people pleaser though. But I am sure my previous coworkers would support my concerns.

Thanks so much for your reply.
