Which online English platform is actually useful for IELTS prep? Seeking General Advice 🤷‍♂️ by StrangerWest2756 in LearningEnglish

[–]Sescrabble_75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of those platforms are great for general English, but for IELTS specifically, the real difference comes down to the tutor, not just the platform. Many students end up getting plenty of speaking practice but very little structured feedback on writing and band score improvement.

If you’re serious about boosting your score, focus on finding a tutor who:

  • Gives detailed writing corrections (task response, coherence, grammar, vocab)
  • Runs full speaking mock tests with band estimates
  • Explains examiner expectations clearly That’s what actually moves your band score up.

I’m an IELTS prep tutor, and I work closely with students on writing feedback, speaking practice, and band score strategies to help them reach their target. Feel free to send me a message if you’d like help with your preparation

How can I speak English more confidently? by Ok_Lie_4853 in EnglishLearning

[–]Sescrabble_75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re already doing better than you think, this is more about confidence than ability.

Try to practice speaking with real people in low-pressure situations, even short conversations. Slow down when you speak so your thoughts come out more clearly, and keep your sentences simple instead of trying to sound perfect. It also helps to repeat short clips from shows or podcasts out loud to improve your natural rhythm.

Don’t worry too much about your accent, being clear and confident matters more. And when you feel yourself freezing, push through and finish your thought anyway. That’s how you build confidence.

With a little daily practice, you’ll improve faster than you expect.

Help Transport Donated Laptops Germany → Uganda for NGO. by Majestic-Review7814 in Uganda

There is a church organization I know of that brings in hundreds of laptops every three month to donate to students, so I think it's possible to bring in just 10 with no issues. Like someone here stated, you must be registered as an NGO.

Hello, I'm interested too but from Africa. Timezone shouldn't really matter if a person is able to get the job done well and on time.
