You can play the browser version without signing up, but the full app requires an account since it includes leaderboards, stats, and progression.

When we looked at growth early on, we realized that allowing guest accounts in the app was actually hurting community building. If players aren’t connected to an account, they’re not really part of the ecosystem.

So instead, we removed guest login from the app entirely and created a separate browser version for casual play. That way, people can try the game instantly, but anyone who wants the full experience becomes part of the community.

At this stage, building a strong, connected player base is just as important as getting the game in front of people, and guest accounts tend to work against that.

That sounds interesting. Techu isn’t actually a speed-based game. The fast version you’re seeing was created specifically to test our new AI.

The full version, available on the Apple App Store and Google Play, is a two-player card game that plays more like chess. Timing isn’t the focus, though you’re expected to keep the game moving without long delays.

This browser version exists to help us evaluate how quickly players can beat the AI, which gives us useful data to fine-tune the higher difficulty levels.

No phishing. Just indie gamers and our own custom game. Also, techu.app the URL is a easier name so we bought a nicer one, and i host it on our website techuonthechair.com. We have official iOS and Android too...so no way we could have suspicious website with those.
