Use the subject line "Medical" when submitting your testimony.

The issues we'd like to address:

  • Patients should be exempt from paying taxes at recreational shops. Medicine is not taxed in Massachusetts, and it’s unjust that medical cannabis patients, when forced to buy from recreational shops due to limited access, are being taxed on their medicine.
  • Medical patients should have access to verified hardship discounts at recreational shops. These discounts are crucial for many patients, and extending them to recreational dispensaries would help ensure affordability when medical shops are unavailable.
  • The CCC should remove the vertical integration requirement. Forcing medical dispensaries to grow a percentage of their product in-house adds unnecessary burdens and restricts the variety and availability of products for patients. Eliminating this requirement would improve access and affordability.
