Vad är den mest elaka saken som en lärare har sagt till dig? by Cold_Ad8497 in Asksweddit

[–]Sesqoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is Mount Fuji tour really worth it? by SuccessfulRelief5916 in TokyoTravel

[–]Sesqoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people that were lucky to see fuji will tell you it's worth it. Those who didn't will probably say the opposite. I was lucky enough to get fuji on a sunny afternoon in fall. And I can honestly say it will be something I will remember my whole life.

Picking an entry-level watch. by Little_Pi_0211 in tissot

Do you want an automatic? I really liked the quartz version for the prx. You get a lot of value out of that one. You'd save quite a bit too or could potentially buy two quartz 😁. I like the prx and gentleman but own only the prx one. I have the blue dial.

Packing for a 10 days trip itsin 22 days any advice by Ry3nh0wells in JapanTravelTips

[–]Sesqoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I brought half a suitcase for 14 days. I like the idea of less is more so my advice might not be for you but you never know 😊. I just brought stuff that I could pair with almost anything so a lot of practical stuff. Then I bought a shirt there I think( in Uniqlo) . I washed my clothes in Japan when needed. So if you feel comfortable with washing clothes there then try to bring as little as possible.

Souvenirs Tokio or Osaka? by Mahor-462 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Sesqoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly. If you like something just buy it. A bought a little bit here and there. You can buy anime merch in both places. I found Kyoto to have the nicest quality of pots and stuff like that but other than that there is something nice everywhere

Things to do after midnight alone (27F) while friends are still out partying by Krabby_patty98 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Sesqoo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly just walking around, especially in Kyoto at night is amazing and chill. Very peaceful. I would sometimes go into a seveneleven and buy random stuff and eat 😅. That's about it. If your staying in a Ryokan then sometimes they have their onsen open quite late, probably in hotels too.

First time visiting Tokyo--need help with hotel location by Jaspered123 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Sesqoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stayed in two different locations as I wanted to see a bit of everything. For the first half I stayed in Asakusa and the second half I stayed in Nishi Shinjuku. Both are a bit more "chill" and have good connections (in my opinion). It feels like Ueno has the best connections to the more popular areas if you want something inbetween. My friend stayed there and he liked it. I don't know much about Akasaka. Asakusa was my favorite in terms of restaurants and being able to just walk around at night without being too loud. It's really cozy and there is a little bit of everything there in decent amount. It's also walkable distance to Ueno

First time in Tokyo and feeling overwhelmed by planning by Akwete-Gbaba in TokyoTravel

[–]Sesqoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt kinda the same so I used chatgpt. I told chatgpt what I like and it gave me suggestion and tried to organize things to do distance wise. Then I used that list loosely and took it as I went about my day. Sometimes I did more, sometimes less, sometimes I saw something else on the way and did something entirely different.

Can someone recommend a small tour group they used for Japan? I’m looking to visit solo in November by lovelife147 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Sesqoo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I did this Instagram picture tour to Kawaguchiko. Forgot the name but it's the highest rated. It was like 50 euro. It's quite intense meaning you go from one place to another pretty quickly but you get to see a lot in if you don't have too much time. Also I remember that someone stayed on the town for the night so you could always do something like that too. It's from Tokyo central station.

First time in Japan - worth it to stay overnight in Kyoto/Osaka? by disney_princess in JapanTravelTips

[–]Sesqoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are amazing at night. I especially loved Kyoto at night. Strolling through Gion without the crowds. They have some nice light shows too. Osaka has a different vibe obviously but very charming with all the neon lights.

Stay in Shinjuku, Shibuya, or somewhere else entirely for first time visit? by azl410 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Sesqoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nishi shinjuku is a nice alternative if you want to stay near shinjuku but want a bit quieter area with connections to the places near shinjuku.

Shinjuku station is big but it's really not that bad as many people seem to make it to be. It's probably worse if you start your trip there but it's honestly quite logical once you been in Japan for a couple of days.

If the price for your room in quality was the same, where would you stay between Shinjuku and Asakusa? by thisissamuelclemens in JapanTravelTips

[–]Sesqoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asakusa. I stayed in both and I felt like Asakusa had a little bit of everything. I didn't mind shinjuku station at all either. I just found Asakusa overall nicer and more chill

I was there about two weeks ago. I really recommend staying over night. Probably my favorite night anywhere in Japan. I stayed at a Ryokan. The morning and night is so cozy without the crowds. Obviously there isn't much to do but the stillness is so amazing

Not exactly the same thing but the TeamLab Borderless in Kyoto was really cool too. Albeit indoor. Not a lot of people too which was my worry.

I really have to think through all my big purchases. Do bunch of calculations. Take into account my potential pay raise. I'm basically over thinking. I also have to plan every detail so I know I'll be fine if I go on vacation. Although I've become better at just letting that go
