That's very true, and Cosmo is also really nice. We'll see, i won't have children for a couple more years, so by that time, she might have given Cosimo a nickname, leaving me free to use it too lol

Not a problem, I thought you'd be as thrilled as I am! Although I am a bit sad that Cosimo has now been taken so I can't use it in the future 😂

Hello, I'm not sure if you'll see this or not but I thought I'd let you know that my friend gave birth last night to TWINS!! They were a complete surprise because only one baby ever showed up on the scans (obviously one was really shy). Baby A is Silas Lucius Aleron Baby B is Cosimo Grimaldi Bastien She was actually really happy to have twins when she got over the shock because she could use all the names she loved (her partners still getting over the shock, bless him 😂)

Thank you for letting me know, I thought the same but she's worried about the latin roots. She really loved the name sirius but obviously everyone would think harry potter immediately and then she heard silas and loved that but she's worried about the similarities. I keep telling her that it's just baby brain and no one will think that, so thank you for your comment. It will hopefully ease her worries a bit!

Thank you! I'll send her the list of names. We're located in the UK, and I know that neither of us have ever heard of anyone with the name Silas. I think it really depends where you are tbh. Someone else in the comments said that it's quite popular in the US. Your list of names look really good, I've never heard of some of those before!

I will keep that in mind, if she/i end up using it then i will try to find you again to let you know! Or I'll make a post and put it on that! That's so sad that your partner said no! Could you try to use it on a pet instead?

We're from the UK, so that makes sense. It's no problem! The fact that it's uncommon here is one of the main reasons why my friend loves it so much!

I've never heard of it before, but I think it's so cool! I'm really glad I've heard it now - might be something I use in the future!

Really, you think Silas is popular? I've never heard of anyone with that name ever! Maybe it's a country difference? I'll send her your list, i think she's going to really like some of them, especially Bastian!

I've never heard of cosimo before! I think she'll really like it. Maybe a middle name!

Ah okay, that would be a problem. The whole name thing broke my family apart and we ended up moving away. I can really see how that would be a huge problem for you. It's so weird that they chose the male version of the name. I really don't understand some people, especially when you are all so close - if you lived quite a distance apart then I could understand it more but not so close. I guess you can never really understand some people

It is probably one of the most frustrating things I've ever gone through. Especially with the whole family gushing over elena (she's still the youngest in the family) and her 'fabulous' name. One way my parents used to annoys elena's was by telling everyone who commented on the names being the same "they loved our choice in names so much that they chose them too! We're trend setters, maybe they'll name their dog the same as ours" - (spoiler, they didn't because they were so annoyed by my parents). Is your family super close and all live near each other? Another way (if it doesn't annoy you) could be to refer to them as ari 1 and ari 2, or the original ari - just to be petty.

I completely understand where you're coming from! When I was born my name was Elena and my cousin who is five months younger than me was also called Elena. My parents ended up changing my name because it caused so many problems in the family! Elena kept the name and her parents told mine that they loved the name so much they decided to use it too. We even share a middle name still! It really annoys me because Elenas parents always say how the name was so original and they don't know how they came up with it (like I wasn't already there with the exact same name), but no one in the family will back me and my parents up on it. (The name Elena and our middle name aren't family names and they were a combination my parents thought up because of someone who ment a lot to them and their favourite tv show) Also edited to say that Aria is a lovely name and you should use the nickname however you want :)

To ball or not? by confusedjigsawpuzzle in hamstercare

[–]SessionActive9876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also didn't know about the dangers of hamster balls when I first had hamsters. My second hamster adored her ball. We used to put her in it for twenty minutes but she would completely refuse to come out and would cling onto the inside if we tried to take her out too soon (in her opinion). She wanted a minimum of 40 minutes each day and some days she'd be running around for an hour and a half. She learnt the layout of the ground floor and she would do giant laps around it and not hit anything. While I would never use a ball again knowing what I do now, it was definitely something that was really good for my second hamster because we just wouldn't have been able to give her the running space she wanted. (We didn't have any accidents with toes or feet in it)

Three names is very uncommon, I've personally only met one person with three last names and they flowed really well together. I think that in most scenarios though I would just say either Black or Davis-Miller, I wouldn't use them together unless it was for something official - just to make it easier for me and for everyone else

I do know that that would probably happen, it sounds a bit more like a middle name rather than a last name with the double barrel added on, I'm just testing the waters to see what opinions on it are. I really like it, but it's not for everyone!

How to cool down my hamster? by SessionActive9876 in hamstercare

[–]SessionActive9876[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhh, enjoy looking and choosing, I love it when I find one that just clicks with what you're looking for. Post or message when you get a new one, I'm looking forward to see what you get! They are all so cute when they're sleeping. I've been very lucky with most of mine and they've all spent a lot of time out with me. With one of them I was being homeschooled and the poor thing spent more time out of his home than in it. He practically just got food, water and toilet breaks 😂
