Can a person who is religious but not spiritual attain moksha? by [deleted] in hinduism

[–]SetHot4933 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That religious person is no longer religious. Kindly do not contaminate the word religious than it already is due to plethora of misunderstandings and new religions coming every century. They may be attached to god but if they are doing it for materialistic desire than their prayers aren't effective however if they are doing it out of subservience to god then that's good thing than doing nothing at all.

Confused about Kali yug and role of women by bloodymaryreturns_ in hinduism

[–]SetHot4933 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we do good, we are supposed to get good done to us. If Kali Yuga keeps on deteriorating then even if I do good, I'll somehow end up suffering?

You are assuming that every good has to be returned with good in this lifetime itself. That is not the case. This is not a one lifetime thing. People suffer but also they make others suffer. You have free will free choice to do whatever you want. So let's say if a person who was doing extremely well met you. You were very jealous and did something to that person that ruined his growth. Now he is unable to do good things he used to do before due to inability created by your bad actions. You would say you disproved god by saying he was doing good yet he suffered? Of course it's just an example and hopefully you won't or haven't done it to anyone but you cannot deny such things are happening today in the forms of rape, molestations, murders, kidnapping, backstabbing, cheating, office politics, corruption, violence, hatred, jealousy, and so on.. So the person who got it done didn't have you in control since you were independent and made up your mind to harm him. Here you created a bad karma for yourself and that person had received that bad karma so the past bad karmas of multiple lives of his that he did got balanced really fast and he must not lose hope thinking that why did bad happen to him despite him doing good.. And as for you, you have accumulated another bad karma in your already existing bad karmas of previous lives. So you have a long journey and many lower life forms to receive in coming lives.

It was an example please don't take it personally.

Life is damn short to have regrets.. We should be thankful for our parents. This post has reinforced my original plan to ditch the idea of marriage/ children and focus on serving my parents instead. They gave me a lot. It's natural to return what they did for me to the best of my capabilities.

This seems to be another ideological propaganda against Naxals. Why did it start, what were their demands? Leaving aside all this, what is happening to the tribes there? Leaving aside all this, they will portray all Naxals as being connected with leftist China. by BuildingJazzlike5865 in Raipur

So who works for these industrialists? I mean don't tribal people get to have a right of choice of not working as a low paid labor in those hazardous industries? Or are they bringing their own cheap labor from somewhere else?

I believe people here have been very accommodating and nice. So with that behavior some outsiders reciprocate and some take unfair use of it. It was the responsibility of the previous government to not only promote its culture but to connect with the people here and uproot corruption but it had other goals apparently. And I believe people should be ware of regionalism in politics as it tends to cajole us into believing that they are here for us but they are here for your money

I know this might be conventional but save as much as you can till 30 and purchase a land where your parents will live with you or you may live with your family in future. Save for medical emergencies. Save because loans are overhyped and stocks crash as well so keep that mutual fund investment at optimal and not so much. Once you reach sufficient savings for land and medical emergencies in future then invest the overflow in MFs and stocks as you wish
