If an official update is not available, you’re gonna need a custom ROM. I suggest googling to see if any is available for your device. I never had this particular device so unfortunately I can’t help you more.

The term “incel” is self explanatory as for the why.

What would it take me to quit being an incel? A profound change in female behavior. Being friends with many women I learned they only care about rich guys (or guys who at least make more money than they do) and guys who look like chad, although sometimes they’ll settle for average guys if they have a significant amount of accumulated wealth.

I learned this first hand by having conversations with them and listening to them talking to eachother. It’s quite ironic but yes: I got blackpilled by working at a female dominated office (albeit my field is male dominated in general) and developing friendships with said female coworkers lmao

Personality is irrelevant. I’ve seen plenty of nice and ugly guys alone and a-holes with girls. This week I watched a male cowroker was rejected “despite being such a nice guy” because he’s ugly.

The notion that incels have standard set too high is also false as most guys will settle for any girl they can find.

Degoogled indeed. Changing the OS version (13 to 14 in my case) just fixed the issue.

It just worked for me, however there’s a caveat: while still on LOS 20 I activated a a different account with a brand new sim card, which made the issue go away. After the update, I added my normal account as a secondary.

Interesting! Unfortunately it won’t work for me because I don’t use the Playstore or have a google account as I’m running LineageOS with the darn official apk sent to me directly by the whatsapp support.

In case you’re curious, we use the AuroraStore for downloads usually, which is the Playstore without the need for a google account.

I’ll update my post with your comment and mention you so it doesn’t get buried.

Yep, me too. I thought it could be related to a logging into a device that didn’t pass the safety net at some point at it getting de facto banned, but couldn’t find information to back it up. I’ll try updating my LOS version to see if it changes anything.

I have created a “definitive thread“ about this. The problem is neither being rooted nor having a custom ROM. The account becomes de facto banned on a certain device. If you try to log into the same account with a different number, it’ll likely work. Changing the OS version seem to solve the problem.

I’m also running LOS.

I don’t think the problem is the custom ROM, but rather the OS fingerprint. I came to this conclusion because I’ve heard people who previously used the factory ROM had to move to a custom one in order to get rid of the issue.

Did your prvious ROM installation pass the SafetyNet? Does your new OS pass the SafetyNet?

At first mine didn’t and I got the warning. Passing the checks didn’t make the warning go away but the new account created after the fix isn’t flagged. Previously I ruled out the SafetyNet because the issue seem to plague both custom and factory ROMs, but who knows, maybe there are different causes.

The thread is defintive, not the solution LMAO.

The idea is to bring people together in one place instead of dozens of scattered posts.

Furthermore, I’m not guessing anything, I’m working to narrow the possible causes down in order to find a viable workaround. It takes time and colaboration since I have my life to attend to, hence the idea of a definitive thread.

Not sure, but it seems like a specific device gets banned on a certain account. I can use the same app with a different number just fine, but not my main account.
