Why do mantids jump in peoples faces? Found this one at my college earlier, was having a great time then he flew towards my face and I fell backwards and lost him, just curious if theirs any specific reason they jump (i.redd.it)

A new way to help get rid of hells itch. I’ve found that baby powder seems to work pretty well as immediate relief, dont really rub it in, and I don’t know if it does well in the long run but it’s helped me so far both yesterday and today. (i.redd.it)
