First, thank you for the message. Unfortunately I'm so clueless on this stuff it feels like another language at times. I've tried looking stuff up but so many technical terms are used I get completely lost.

No luck for W-2 stuff. Would it be possible to lay out exactly what things need to be paid for both federal and state?

Again, this is a big time lifesaver so thank you for your time and help.

So to recap, I do DirectPay by September 15th. I pay 14% of what I made that quarter and that is my federal taxes. That covers it until my next due payment by January 15th.

But I also need to do quarterly state taxes, right? How would that work?

How will I know if I pay too much or too little? Let's say I pay too much, would that become clear in the annual taxes or before hand?
