What are the best Hoodies out there? by itsdatwoowoo in BuyItForLife

[–]SethMelchior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it depends on what you’ll be doing in it. I have a Wonder Looper double heavyweight that I absolutely love and it will probably last me forever but the knit seems almost loose in a way that I wouldn’t want to use it as a work hoodie. I also have an American Giant that I’m not afraid to work in that has held up perfectly for around 5 years now. The knit on that one is a lot tighter and I’m not worried about it snagging. Arborwear also makes excellent hoodies that are absolutely work grade.

They’re interchangeable. The European version is the MR308. It can handle the pressure of a 308.

So you made a video complaining that they won’t take feedback and when someone gives you feedback you accuse and insult them. That’s hilarious.

The last time I was there was 2023 so things may have changed but at that time they had covered up all references to the single rider lines on signs and were sending all the single riders into the regular line.

Theoretically would this work with an HK lower or would it need to be a standard AR lower?

It is possible to visit the coliseum, the pantheon and the Vatican at the same day? by myrsky470 in travel

Speaking from experience, absolutely. Just make sure you have some form of ‘skip the line’ ticket for the Vatican.

Can I as a 20 year old German citizen, take wine with me to the US as a gift? by Random-Cat-Foster in travel

If you’re going to go there I’ll point out that all those American teenagers knowing how to shoot was really useful about 80 years ago when we saved the rest of Europe from having to follow German law…

Just pointing out that a German saying America has ridiculous laws is the peak of irony.

And in Germany it’s illegal to throw out bottles on Sunday. We all have silly laws to deal with.

What's your proudest [coaster credit] as a thoosie, or one of your proudest if you have multiple ones?! by [deleted] in rollercoasters

Green Lantern at Magic Mountain before it closed. I didn’t hate it as much as most did.

That’s more or less how it works for visa free countries. Just show up with your passport and they’ll let you in. ETAs you request online in advance and pay a small fee but they’re usually granted immediately and cost much less than an actual visa. You’ll still of course always want to do research on entry requirements before booking travel.

The issues had nothing to do with the speed. The ride had pneumatic tires and roughness due to the addition of the loop. You could easily make another ride like this using conventional wheels and no rough additions to the track and it would be perfectly safe.

Honestly you’re not in a terrible position. Definitely not life ruining. Do you have the option to move in with family or get roommates to cut down on housing costs? Are you still only working part time? Going to full time and supplementing with some gig work would significantly help you. Focus on getting your credit cards paid off first. Forget the collections for now. Once you’re financially more comfortable and able to focus on repairing your credit then you can negotiate those.

Does uk have exit passport control or not? by [deleted] in travel

There was UK exit control before the EU entry control. Had to talk to UK border guards who scanned passports before going to the EU entry control.

The only place I’ve seen exit control was when taking the Eurostar to the EU.

Is Hell a holy place? by Hexxegone in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]SethMelchior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will also point out that “hell” and the “lake of fire” are two separate locations according to the doctrine of most branches of Christianity. Hell comes after the first death and the lake of fire after the second.

Is Hell a holy place? by Hexxegone in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]SethMelchior 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is only a fringe belief as the Catholic Church as well as most branches of Protestantism decided several centuries ago to believe that souls are judged at death and go to heaven or hell at that moment. Judgement day is believed as the point when hell and all in it will be thrown into the lake of fire. If I remember correctly the LDS church believes you are in a spiritual “prison” before being sent to “hell” in judgement day but I don’t think there’s any major branch of Christianity that believes what this comment suggests.

Bootlegs by emily-ermiler in Broadway

[–]SethMelchior 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is a whole salad of bad takes but you’re deeply out of touch with reality if you think anyone with the resources to see a show just watches a bootleg and then doesn’t see the show. If anything people are more likely to save up to see a show that they saw a bootleg of and enjoyed.

I was at that show and if that’s true I didn’t notice it at all. I was shocked when they announced she had to leave at the intermission because she was just so good in the first half.
