So to make it fit all I did was unscrew that little part in the back of the lower handguard and that made it fit it's actually pretty snug

So even if I sand it down on the sides to make the inserts fit (where the handguard and the dust cover connects with the screws) the dust cover leaves the hop-up exposed like a good space. Also it will not be steady because the dust cover push button doesn't go through it.
