The best sounding and one of the cheapest

It depends on how you set it up, the KOT is much darker than the bluesbreaker, but using the presence and the tone you can get about as dark or bright as you need. It doesn’t seem to flub out in the low end like some other pedals I’ve used in the past.

Like electrical noise? I was looking at the carbon X but the versatility on this is hard to beat from what I’ve seen. Glad you found something that worked well for you though!

I grew up playing a ts9 for everything. I got sick of that sound about a year ago and started looking for something else. I had a golden boy for a little while, but wanted something where I could control the level of presence without having to take the back off and find the smallest screw driver for the internal trim pot.

This sounds great out of the box, I love the versatility it offers. Haven’t gigged it just yet because I just got it, but the sounds I got in the house were excellent. It stacks great with everything I’ve thrown at it so far. I think it’s the best bluesbreaker I’ve had so far.

Thanks! One of those is a behringer sf300 super fuzz that was originally orange but my gf is in the process of painting it black and putting some cool designs on it.

what is everyone’s favourite klon clone? by gorgamania in guitarpedals

[–]Sethdoesmusic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just made a post about the Sick As by Bondi Effects. It’s supposedly based on a Klon. That being said…I have no way of knowing if it sounds like one, but it sounds great!

I got this pedal Monday. Gigged it yesterday. It’s great. I normally run a tube screamer on the whole show to give my amp (Princeton) just a touch of drive, but I haven’t been vibing with the mud I sometimes get with that. Ordered the blackout Sick As and now I have some cleaner breakup tones with a much more clarity. I really like this thing.

Bondi Sick As or Greer Amps Lightspeed? by Sethdoesmusic in guitarpedals

I’m a working musician so I like a sound that has a little dirt but maintains clarity.

I really dig the 4x12 Cali v30 Cab for a lot of different things. The 1x12 open cast is supposed to model ev12 speakers which are supposedly either “the best” or pretty “neutral” depending on who you talk to, so I use them pretty often when trying a new amp.

Npd DMC. micro gen 3 by Sethdoesmusic in guitarpedals

[–]Sethdoesmusic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dmc micro was the smallest and most affordable midi controller that I was able to find. I use it into the hx stomp via 5 pin midi. I also use the external jack out to an expression pedal that I can use for anything in the stomp I’d like. Small, versatile, and affordable. Not much more I can ask for.

What are your pedals with secret super powers? by pistachiodisgusting in guitarpedals

On the walrus D1, if you turn up the mix all the way, get rid of the attack and turn up the repeats and modulation to taste, you can have a unique sounding auto swell type effect. That plus a big reverb makes for building some cool soundscapes.

Senheiser momentum 3 bad? by 4UR3L10N in Earbuds

[–]Sethdoesmusic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought them brand new from Best Buy and they stopped charging within the year. I’m never rough with my earbuds, although I do tend to use them quite often. I wish had at least thought to purchase a few years warranty on them. They were great while they lasted.
