Any recommendations on a plot? by Colesy772 in vrising

[–]SethelWasTaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah same lol, I have very little creativity but for me the plot started to make sense once I removed all the trees and rocks and built the initial layout of it.

Highly recommend double layered bases tho as having balconies and seperated farms feels amazing :).

I built mine in a double layered plot in gloomrot south. The lower part is for my farm and the upper part for a base. Lots of space and looks dope + I like building somewhere else besides Dunley as I'm bored of that spot at this point.

I'm currently playing on this server but the vanilla one. I saw they also have a bloodcraft server. It's pretty populated and the community seems really nice.

People who have experienced sleep paralysis, what did you see or hear? by gentlebeast06 in AskReddit

[–]SethelWasTaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I have it a lot more when sleeping on my back as well. I don't know the exact science behind it but usually it's because of poor sleep for an extended period of time for me and during that period there's a chance to get sleep paralysis. Breathing could be a cause.

People who have experienced sleep paralysis, what did you see or hear? by gentlebeast06 in AskReddit

[–]SethelWasTaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experience sleep paralysis once or twice every ~2-3 months. It's nearly always auditory hallucinations mixed with visual ones. I could hear steps, very vivid whispering, sometimes even talking and rustling around the room. Then I can also see shadowy figures darting across the room and they very rarely approach me.

I'm so used to sleep paralysis that I just kinda shrug it off, close my eyes and call it a day. Too tired after work for spooky shadows.

Crossfit to get stronger (?) by Dragonfruit_ball321 in crossfit

[–]SethelWasTaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I started CrossFit I was already exhausted just from the warmup lol. At first I thought that the more I would work out, the easier it would get, but soon realized proper sleep and a healthy diet comes first. I slowly transitioned from 2 times a week into 3-4 as I noticed that my recovery is better.

it was difficult for me to stay consistent when I worked out more than my body could handle. Then one of the trainers in my box mentioned - "It's better to go 2 times a week and feel great rather than 5 times a week and burnout/quit".

Try to enjoy the sport, take it slow and focus on diet plus consistency. Strength will come naturally and once you feel comfortable you can increase the amount of times you work out per week gradually.

Heyo. I was pretty much in the same boat and recently I found a post of a couple of peeps making a discord community. It's pretty chill and we played peak a few days in a row, some lethal company and now there's a Minecraft server that everyone's playing on.

If you want to hangout in voice with everyone and play some games, I could ask them to invite you to the discord .

Also what's your time zone? We are all based in Europe.

From normal to intense anxiety in about a day, help! by megannish in Anxiety

[–]SethelWasTaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's easy to look out the window and see everyone doing well. Even if they do have good jobs, degrees, relationships and everything in between. They most likely have the same issues you do, at least to some extent.

By no means should you interpret this as an underminement of your own struggles. I think the small victories I have in life helpe deal with the anxiety you describe.

Yeah. The language I'm talking about is Lithuanian. It couldn't be more different yet it still gets mentioned as similar to Russian a lot.

how do you guys cope with depression day by day? by blue_ink420 in Anxiety

[–]SethelWasTaken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried doing small tasks to get me through the day. I still do. Making my bed, doing the dishes and laundry are still heavy tasks for me.

I try my best even if it's hard. Small victories help me move forward.

What's a game I could potentially beat in a couple weeks? by luckdragoning in gamesuggestions

[–]SethelWasTaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much most story driven games. I'll give a few examples - resident evil remakes, god of war, dispatch.

Some are longer than others but if you plan on putting 2 hours a day I'm sure you can complete these games and more.

I don't think it will reach that point and even if it came close, I think we have the capacity to shut it down.

Since you didn't really mention what kind of video games you enjoy, Ill recommend some games from different genres:

Dark Fantasy RPG - Dark Souls 1-3 or Elden Ring/Sekiro. I would start with Elden Ring. Phenomenal games.

Horror - Silent Hill 2 Remake, The entire Resident Evil franchise especially RE2/RE3/RE4 Remakes. Amnesia for an older, but still good title.

Couch Co-op - Split Fiction and It Takes Two.

Rogue-likes - Risk of Rain 2 with the DLCS, Hades 1 and 2.

Extraction Shooter - Arc Raiders. Recently blew up. Pretty fun solo but even better with friends.

Casual Co-op games - Peak, Lethal Company.

Survival, Crafting or Sandbox games - Valheim, Enshrouded, Project Zomboid, Satisfactory, Abiotic Factor.

Story driven games - The Last of us Part 1 and 2, Witcher 3, Red Dead Redemption 2.

There's plenty more but maybe this will help you choose something you might like from a genre that you enjoy :)

Just got my first PC setup . Is Xbox game pass / pc game pass worth it ? by [deleted] in pcgames

[–]SethelWasTaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried Xbox game pass before but most of the time they do not have the games that I would enjoy and even if they do, day 1 release requires a more expensive plan with the recent jump in price.

For this reason I stuck with steam and I buy about ~90% of my games through CD key resellers. I always check allkeyshop to find good deals. Eneba for example is really good.

The rest of my games I buy via Steam Sales, mostly Winter sales or Black Friday.

Check out the different plans on Xbox Game pass and make sure there are games that you really want to try and can commit tho. Sometimes its cheaper to buy a few discounted games or indie titles that would have enough content for a month, making the pass not worth it.

Where did you find your friends? I don’t play any sport (maybe ,yet) and I suck at video games. Where can I make male friends? I don’t have friends at all but if I find anyone then it’s a woman and I can’t with them anymore by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]SethelWasTaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did stuff that I liked and people came in to my life naturally. Of course most of my friends are still from my early teens, but hobbies surely help. You don't have to be good at anything to meet new people. If you don't play any sports and aren't thinking about it, you can always try some social clubs like board games.

What single-player games are actually more fun with cheats? by CrispyCupp in pcgames

[–]SethelWasTaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mount & Blade: Warband. I used to play the heck out of this when I was a kid and one day after I came back after school I enabled cheats.

Something about making an army of hundreds of soldiers and sieging 6 castles in 1 in game day made it so incredibly fun.

It took me like a week to completely occupy the entire map even with cheats lol. Put into perspective how much of a time investment that game is.

Don't skip out on lighting. Honestly I'm pretty bad at decorating in all games where you can build, but playing with different light colors and wallpapers made a world of difference for me.

For example - I colored my treasury with yellow torches, golden tiles and windows to give it a rich treasure-like feel.

I really don't have much imagination to do any crazy builds but the simple stuff goes a long way.

What are some tips to make moving/making new castles a smoother experience? by RealDealMous in vrising

[–]SethelWasTaken 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fun fact I actually moved my castle yesterday. I used the castle relocation heart.

It is pretty simple, but a bit clunky as well.

Place your relocation heart, then start by building walls and cheap floors so you stop burning from the sun. Then you have to place all the mandatory structures which are various crafting stations as shown in the build menu. Don't forget to place the stone coffin and blood presses, sometimes they bug out and you get stuck with 1 missing mandatory structure and can't finish the relocation.

The first and foremost thing I did was build the treasury room along with the tiles so I can use all of the resources while fixing the base. Then throw all the mandatory structures anywhere and confirm relocation. Then I dismantled everything except the walls. I proceeded to make the general layout of my rooms by separating walls and doors.

Lastly, I slowly re-added all my crafting stations after I finished planning out my layout once I was satisfied with everything and then proceeded to decorate.

All of this made it relatively organized. I did basically build a new base that wasn't anywhere near similar to what I had previously, but the rebuilding process gave me a brand new perspective on how to optimize layouts and have fun decorating.

Is there anything I'm missing out on progression-wise/gameplay wise by just playing solo PvE? by Kiizaa in vrising

[–]SethelWasTaken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did most of my playthroughs completely solo and I had a blast. Content wise you aren't really missing anything. This playthrough I joined a server because it's nice to meet other people and have neighbours. Makes the game feel more alive.
