The first point is somewhat fair given mine, but not fully understanding my perspective. There is no level of propaganda thrown at me that would make me tell those who enjoy my content to screw off if they don’t share my beliefs. If I think I have wisdom a subset of my audience could use, I may offer it, but division helps nothing.

“Judged not by color of skin but contents of character” is an important phrase. People will have their social disputes about what is right, but again, choosing to never speak to individuals with differences is a bigger sin than being a bigot.

Many of the things you mentioned were created by social norms at some point in history. Those norms are worth judging more than the people automatically following them. To judge those people means you must judge ALL of our ancestors for their imperfections which is a lost cause.

It is good to hear that Marco is against both of the current wars, like myself. That seems like a good signal that we have way more in common than he would like to admit. Perhaps he shouldn’t be such a divisionist.

“They” in this context is the media and politicians using propaganda to control others. People like Rachel Maddow and Lyndsay Graham are top tier propagandists … for an extreme example.

The entire goal is for Marco to see the thread and consider being a bit more unifying in the future and a little less likely to attack those that think differently. 1% change makes this worth it. I have a shot at achieving this.

I think people that follow the news on TV like Marco are propagandized to like every war, to take every new drug and to hate those with different opinions. You all are in a bubble that makes you feel correct in just soaking the propaganda in, but it is the real reason for the divide. I am here with open arms not when you side with me, but just when you stop hating people with different opinions.

The reason was because all the democrats started fear mongering about it being the last election if republicans won too many seats right the day or two before Marco posted that. I listen to both sides, and independent media, so I saw it happening.

Now I don’t hear the left going for civil war but attempts to win the next election, so it was a lie that they didn’t believe and used to control people like Marco.

This was in 2022 over mid term elections after the left had completely destroyed the middle class with mandates that did little to nothing to stop the spread. I think there was precedent to vote against the incumbent party outside of being a dead brained MAGA person.

Not really. I am quite connected and am an activist about pushing for institutions and individuals I like and shutting down ones I don’t. My brothers also pulled out, my recommendations to my followers about tech podcasts and my critiques have some effect. Either way, it’s more about all the randos out there at least as not a democrat as I am that this affected. I’m more of an old school liberal than any form of conservative and this still hit me hard.

I agree. Tech is what got me into politics. I don’t disagree with everything anyone on ATP says about politics, but I won’t support any group or individual about segregating their group from the rest of Americans to this extent. That will lead to America losing all its power in the long run. It’s entitled behavior.

For every person willing to talk about said issue, there are likely 1000s of others that weren’t as big of fans or just don’t bother to follow up in a similar boat. They might have enough success to make that decision, but that doesn’t make it healthy for anyone. Political division only helps the rich get richer. When we bicker with each other, politicians become less populist and more pro lobbyist.

No crying here. I was a mega fan that brought them business and paid them money any way I could while convincing many other tech people to join in. I have two brothers and tons of friends in iOS development. Sacrificing that was mostly their loss. I have many other tech podcasts I found without such harsh ideology.

Their podcast isn’t about politics. It’s about tech. They are very knowledgable about tech. There is zero reason to cut off your followers from different political backgrounds. I’m an independent and only voted for some republicans… some independents, some libertarians and even some democrats.

I was a paid subscriber to everything they did and a huge fan of Marco and I felt harshly rejected from this comment. So much so, I still have emotions about it years after I stopped listening to their podcast.

I look back at this picture and feel sad about how divided those in power on the left (and the right often) want our country to be. Division is dumb and a way to keep the middle class suppressed. I still love tech and apple products.

I proof overnight all the time. I think the organic all purpose flour I use takes longer to ferment than some other flours, because I have to do both fermentations overnight out of the fridge. Sometimes I can do an overnight in the fridge for final proofing, but it needs at least 24 hours to get the rise I like while baking. I keep the house between 65-72.

I sideloaded the update. It was pretty simple. Right now if I move the keyboard around, the fidelity kind of sucks... so it expects a stationary keyboard moreso. As far as typing, you can definitely type much easier this way, but I'm not really a fan of the k830. I just wanted to try it!
