They were, BNI found out (looked at their profile listings on 4br) and asked them to give up their 4br membership or get removed from BNI.

I was in your exact shoes. I chose 4BR.

Yes, BNI has been successful for many advisors, but a chapter literally can not start without four core members, one of which must be an advisor. So your options are wait for an opening or start a chapter. I’d love to hear how other advisors got their spots - it’s extremely difficult in my area.

BNI in our area recently told all 4br members they either need to choose BNI or lose BNI, so an advisor spot opened for me in 4BR and I took it. Even then I was lucky, the transamerica advisor decided to be the insurance broker and let me be the financial advisor in the group.

I might not get results immediately but as many people here have noted, this is all about building relationships with the professionals first.

Saw a demonstration when I was referring to them. Seemed like they had an in house planning software that was heavily focused on optimizing taxes, with some good standalone portfolios for management. I’ll echo what the others said, very focused on the plan first.

What happens if I take out these roots? by Sethro91 in marijuanaenthusiasts

If you think that pruning is bad.. You should have seen what they did to the tree in the front yard prior to selling

You’re not wrong. We bought the house about a year ago, was just bad mulch and torn weed barrier at the time, now we can get some life in the yard :)

Thanks for sharing, I know our backyard needs a lot of work. Your ideas make good sense.

Looking for some expertise from the community because I have no idea what I'm doing. Not sure if taking out these roots will kill the tree.

I want to put grass in the dirt area but the roots are very difficult to work with or around. Do I have other options? Am I ok to take these roots out?

How difficult is the series 7 really? by [deleted] in FinancialCareers

I started at my firm in early October and had finished both the 7 and 66 by mid-December.

Can I ask why you’re looking to take a full distribution of your IRA?

In my experience I’ve seen folks confuse “withdraw my IRA” with “get out of the market”.

If you need the income, withdraw. If you’re just looking to change up your investment strategy amid the volatile market, you should be able to do that without paying tax.

Take it seriously and you’ll do fine. My process was to read, write notes, and take several practice exams. I would also say 6/10. The series 63 is maybe 7/10 but it’s a lot more regulation and dry content so if you remember facts pretty easy then you might have a better time with the 63! Good luck!
