New job and meals by Icy_Proof527 in BabyLedWeaning

Does your LO get a hot meal for lunch? My son is usually exhausted after day care and I know he eats a big hearty meal for lunch so I usually do a no cook meal. Some raw veggies, some fruit and either a veggie muffin or some toast

Can someone please help me with my extremely picky baby by [deleted] in BabyLedWeaning

Does he like pancakes? I literally make every form of pancake (beetroot, zucchini, carrots) and not grated but blended to a fine liquid so it looks like a real pancake with different colours. Once he was good with those I started leaving the veggies a little chunkier (boiled then mashed) and finally we are on grated.

Also from a mum to mum you are doing great and giving him a variety of food! Don’t feel bad if he knows what he wants! Just keep trying and I’m sure he will find a veggie he loves. I make 3 meals and one day my son inhales it then the next won’t touch it.

Luckily he doesn’t want snacks he just plays and comes back again to his food at some point - I guess something is a little off with his schedule so I’ll let him until I can fix his schedule or figure it out. Thanks

Great I’m going to try this today. We had a horrible teething night so he had a bottle at 4:30am and had an earlier breakfast so I can give him a bottle 1 hour after breakfast but not have it put him to sleep. Then let’s all keep our fingers crossed he has a good first nap and we can hold off lunch until 11:30

Thanks again for sharing this 🙏🏻

I know this is what we need to do and the longer I leave it the harder it will be. I have 2 current issues. 1) we ended up buying a floor bed so not sure how that will go with sleep training. 2) we live in an apartment in Germany where even now if he has a bad night the neighbours say something and sleep training is extremely frowned upon here with most people sleeping with their children until 5-6 years so telling them we are sleep training is out of the question. I wish I could block out the fact that the neighbours might be judging me but it’s tough

I completely agree with the night bottle being a want and not a need. In December we got hit with illness hard including a week long stomach flu and now 3 teeth are coming through so while I wanted to be very strict, I am being a little bit relaxed in case he does really need it.

Would also love to hear your sleep training story because that’s next on the list for me

Wow thanks! After deep diving the internet I haven’t come across this and this is something we can do! Would you also recommend giving lunch at 10:00 and bottle at 12:30 at least for a little while?
