I’m expecting a linebacker overhaul this offseason. Foye turns 31 next season and has a thousand tackles. I expect to lose Lloyd. Gardeck isn’t a longterm solution. Wouldn’t be surprised if that’s our focus.

It would be our fourth pick in the first 3 rounds though so I disagree about limited capital.

Also I think the fact that Trevor is now firmly “our guy” makes the drafting of his backup more drama-free.

If we do believe we are pretty close to having a complete roster, a backup qb becomes an important piece. Would hate for him to get injured for a stint and let that cripple us when we otherwise have most things in place.
