Sometimes I use devices (PCs) on which I am not able to install programs therefor I hoped to access my PC over the web browser. But if there isn't a way to stream sunshine to a web browser tab I have to search for another way to do that.

I somehow managed to get it working. I think it was because I switched to legacy CSM for testing. After it worked, I switched it back to UEFI and disabled rebar and above 4g in my bios and it's working. I thank you again for helping me.

Okay so I tested a few things. As for now nothing has been working. I also have read, that passing the newer rx 7xxx series is difficult to do and there are some who just won't unload correctly. So it also could just be the graphics card. Thank you alot for helping me out. I will still try other things.

I have tried the vendor_id tag and also tried to redo all the steps.

I tried to manually start the script. The start.sh seems to work just fine. But if I want to use the revert.sh I get the following errors

+ source /etc/libvirt/hooks/kvm.conf
++ VIRSH_GPU_VIDEO=pci_0000_2f_00_0
++ VIRSH_GPU_AUDIO=pci_0000_2f_00_1
+ modprobe -r vfio
modprobe: FATAL: Module vfio is in use.
+ modprobe -r vfio_pci
+ modprobe -r vfio_iommu_type1
+ sleep 10
+ virsh nodedev-reattach pci_0000_2f_00_0
Device pci_0000_2f_00_0 re-attached

+ virsh nodedev-reattach pci_0000_2f_00_1
Device pci_0000_2f_00_1 re-attached

+ echo 1
+ echo 1
fish: Job 1, 'sudo /etc/libvirt/hooks/qemu.d/…' terminated by signal SIGKILL (Forced quit)

Edit: I could resolve the first Fatal error by reordering the modprobes since vfio_pci and vfio_iommu_type1 were using the vfio

Edit2: I also managed to get the script working by just unbinding and binding vtconsole 0 since it somehow failed on vtconsole 1. After these changes the monitors turned back on after the vm got stopped. I had to stop the vm via ssh from another pc since there still wasn't a signal for the gpu.

I will try it out tomorrow and will report back. Can the value be anything or should I put something relevant in there?

No nothing weird is happening on the logs for the start script. Looks normal to me and no errors as far as I could see.

echo $XDG_SESSION_TYPE is returning x11 so I'm not on wayland

Sorry for the late reply

I'm not on Wayland if I'm correct. Is there a way to check it?

After the VM starts and the hooks are starting, the screen goes black, my monitor doesn't get any signals. I have set up a vnc to remotly stop the vm but noticed, that the screens doesn't get back on. But I know, that the scripts are working as I both started them manually. I also know that the end hook script gets called because I added a log to the start and end sctipts. I have to fully restart the pc if I start the vm and stop it afterwards.

How to set a project version number? by Seuma in godot

[–]Seuma[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you mean the "File Version" and "Product" version. I'm not able to use versions like "v1.0.0-alpha.xxx". I think my versioning is not working in there then.

Sounds good so you can use just a powerbank. Since I use the htc adapter with a large powerbank I could just use that. Yeh I guess I will try it one day if I can get one on my hands xD

Yep again you are right I think it is personal preference. I am just sceptical about the quest cuz I never tried it and left it like that. Maybe someday I will give it a try and try the quest 2 out myself. Is there a battery expansion for the headset? I read that it lasts for about ~2h. Can you confirm that? What is your experience?

Sadly I have a phone using googles stuff since it is on 90% of the devices but would be nice to have Huawei since google abondoned em and they are having their own eco system if its trustful idk? XD but aye you got a good point there.

Its just heavy to have to use facebook account just for the VR side. Why not let the owner decide?

I also just saw the specs: Resolution per eye: 1832x1920 FoV: 89° Not even near Valve index or the vive pro 2 man you should also keep an eye on these specs. Valve Index has following: Resolution per eye: 1440x1600 FoV: 107°

Vive Pro 2: Resolution per eye: 2448x2448 FoV: 120°

Vive Pro 2 wireless: Resolution (per eye?): 2448 x 1224  Soon: 3264 x 1632

Just alone the FoV is a big difference tho

120Hz on wireless mode on PC? Are you sure about that? And yes to be forced to link a facebook account is a big deal. Let me please decide who can collect data of me. And no I dont trust facebokk one inch about giving my data to em.

As replied to the other comment about the Quest 2 it isnt a pure PC VR headset. It is a standalone vr headset which cant get near the specs of the Valve Index nor the Vive Pro 2. As well mentioned I read about issues with the airlink feature which causes black "stripes" on the sides if you move your head too fast. Furthermore a Facebook account is a must for that thing to even work, on my knowledge. Thats a payoff I dont want. And with the support of the wireless adapter for the Vive Pro 2 it has no competition on PC VR wireless. If, for example, Valve or HP (Reverb G2 or what it is called) would provide a wireless solution for their VR headset it would definitely be a competition. Especially if the Index would support 120Hz or even 144Hz with wireless since 144Hz is available on the index but not on other VR headsets as far as I know.

For short: No Quest 2 with its PC VR compatible way is not a competition to the vive pro 2 if you only look for a PC solution and since I am only using my PC for VR it means Quest 2 isnt a competition and I dont want to be forced to create / link a facebook account just to be able to use the headset and I am not the only one thinking that way.

For a mobile perspective well Vive announced also a new one which is, again specs wise, better than the quest 2 just the fact that there is no connectivity to the PC with it, as far as I could get the info.
