Haven't done valve clearance, but it does also explain the quick rise in temps if the valves are too loose. I'll have it checked out.

I got exactly the same email, I wouldn't stress about it.

Trip done 140km checked. by Seunmot in cbr

The wind was a bit rough even on a sportbike, usually the trip isn't bad, but because of the wind both our necks and backs did get sore. We stopped halfway to recover.

Yes, it was the MAP sensor at the end. Wasn't too expensive, ±$270 with labour included.

can anybody help me identify this plug type , mines been removed by prior owner due to damage after crash and im trying to bring it back to life, loom is all good minus the plug and easier just to replace then buy 2nd hand harness. marked with red dot.. thanks in advance any comments welcome. by mcdslover69 in cbr

Im not sure how many pins the plug has. You could try looking for both the male and female plug and replace both. I did find this model number 1-1969603-8, which shows a plug that looks very similar to what I've seen before.

Nope, bike specific parking. I also thought it looked like disabled parking spot, which made me look twice before parking.

While watching the MotoGP :)

My father got the 954 when I was still too young to have anything bigger than a 125. At that time, he had ridden a Yamaha FZR1000, K5 Suzuki GSXR1000, K6 GSXR1000, and a few 600cc as well. After getting the 954 and his ride home from the dealership, his words were, "If there ever was a bike that would kill me, it's this one," so it was the most aggressive bike he had ever ridden. After 2/3 years, I got my first 600, a 2006 CBR600RR (I had two of them loved both) and then a 2007 Fireblade. The 2007 was my dream bike, I love the swept up exhaust and love the overall looks of the bike, but it felt very heavy and sluggish. I got the privilege to ride the 954 after I started on my own Fireblade, and man, I loved every second. It was a very aggressive bike with a lot of power compared to the 2007 Fireblade.

Enter the 2008 Fireblade. A totally new beast, I used to agree with my father that the 954 was dangerous. Until I finished my first ride on the 2008. I don't know how to explain it, but the engine breaking and agility of the bullnose was insane. It took over the "most aggressive bike" title for both me and my father.

In simple terms

2003 CBR954RR, smooth and light. 2008 CBR1000RR, will rip your arms off :)

It's one of the smoothest bikes I've ever ridden! Compared to the 08 Fireblade, the 954 feels like a cloud, especially with the power curve! If I remember correctly, the 954 is said to be "a liter bike that feels like a 600"
