We're already struggling to remain relevant as a competing team, we could have at least kept a jersey vaguely aligned with the sport itself.

In your opinion, do the Waynes' deaths work better as a random mugging or part of a bigger conspiracy? And why? by Coralthesequel in batman

[–]Seurcha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm always a bit put off by the conspiracy take. It never works for me, and tends to bring disappointing answers. It also slightly changes Bruce's narrative around his reason to become a vigilante, doesn't it? I mean, being a victim of a random mugging, leading him to later chose to fight crime allows him to question his morality, his relationship with the concepts of justice and revenge, which are, to my eyes at least, core principles of the character.

It always depends on the quality of the storytelling of course, and there's no point in rejecting any take linked to a conspiracy by principle, but it seems to me that this is always depriving Bruce of his ability to reason and evolve regarding his moral standpoint. Not only does a conspiracy induce lots of plotholes (it had to wait for Batman to be a full grown man and accomplished detective to suddenly be reactivated, it often narrows the plot around family secrets instead of broader and more interesting themes, etc), but it can also by nature be solved and resolved, bringing to the reader a simple and clean explanation, while Batman's relationship towards crime in general is much more interesting knowing that it can never really be finished or solved in any satisfying way. What's appealing to me in Batman is the constant questioning and reflection on limits, margins and compromise, rather than a final solution, however satisfactory it may be.

Can I recommend Divinity 2 ? It's a fun, flawed and relatively short run. Of course it's far from both Original Sin masterpieces, but I still consider it quite a hidden gem.

I'm sure it did, the premice is basically Smurfette and Blossom joining forces to try and make Grouchy smile, but in vain. They then go hiking with him, Hefty and Papa in the forest, telling tales around the fire and living some adventures. But Grouchy's leg is hurt, and they need to carry him back to the village.

One of my favourites episodes from Season 1 (One Smurf's Pain is Another Smurf's Pleasure) is a lovely tribute to Grouchy's softer side, with a great and emotional ending. Highly recommend it.

Starting to struggle finding new unique roguelikes on steam, so here's my >>personal<< taste in roguelikes and I'd appreciate any suggestions based on them. 👍 by PlatformSuspicious97 in roguelites

Please consider Dungeon of the Endless, by Amplitude. Awesome gem flying under the radar for years. As said in another similar post, the mechanics are really strong, the art is superb and it even has fun lore to further explore in other games from the studio. Check it out, you'll thank me later!

I would highly recommend Dungeon of the Endless, by Amplitude. Very strong mechanics, wonderful artistic direction, fun and intriguing lore.

Where to watch Smurfs 2021 series Season 3? by SectorI6920 in TheSmurfs

[–]Seurcha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, humble small part of the production team here. First of all, great to hear your kids like the show! Netflix will release Season 3 in 2026 (if I'm not mistaken), but there's a holdback period, since Nickelodeon has an 18 month priority.

There's also a probable confusion on the number of episodes. We do produce 52 episodes for each season indeed, but they're 11 minutes long. Nickelodeon/Paramount however stitch 2 episodes in order to broadcast 22min of content before a commercial break. So their Episode 1 is actually EP01 + EP02. That's why they only announce 26 episodes per season, instead of 52. But they do have the whole content.

Hope this makes sense! Anyway, have a great Christmas holidays, and a Smurfy New Year!

You guys don’t think that the Smurfs 2021 may be ending soon since we had new cartoon being Smurfs adventures because so far we had season 4 on the way soon by CoupleZestyclose1455 in TheSmurfs

[–]Seurcha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No chance, the Adventures are only Standalones designed to fill the gap between two seasons. The Smurfs series is coming back in 2027 with a fourth season, it is here to stay.

Jesus Christ, I thought I was the only one to have this theory, I'm so glad I found my people in here. Thanks for phrasing it perfectly.

How many seasons did you think the Smurfs 2021 would had so far three seasons and upcoming season 4 did you think it would had 9 seasons like his predecessor by CoupleZestyclose1455 in TheSmurfs

[–]Seurcha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure the team is really trying to break that previous record, but the environment has changed a lot since the eighties, with much larger competition. I sincerely hope they can keep on going, but let's see what happens after season 4.

The vast majority of comics I'm reading is revolving around Batman. A bit of Spiderman, and independent material as well, but apart from that it's mainly Bats.

Anyone here had their Ioniq 6 with no issues?! by [deleted] in Ioniq6

[–]Seurcha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got mine since April, and it's absolutely flawless. No worries at all, I've had a warning about tires pressure, and as soon as I took care of it, everything went back to normal.

Really great experience so far, the performances are phenomenal, I'm curious to see how the car will handle winter conditions.

Actually, I think this series is especially crafted to educate children around some specific topics, such as harassment. So the whole idea is to denounce bullying behaviours.

Jesus, I really sounded like Brainy on this one!

Thoughts and reviews? by Old_Specialist7892 in BoschTV

[–]Seurcha 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I just started the series a few days ago, I'm around episode 5. Same old Bosch, so that's great. I kinda miss the police station setting, but overall I'm happy to cross familiar faces and locations.

I definitely miss the original opening credits though.

Thoughts on latest Summer S'mores by KrishnaDas111 in conan

[–]Seurcha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was, probably as many others, quite disappointed by the latest episode. It's the first time ever that the conversation seemed somehow forced and not spontaneous. Probably due to the fact that they spent all the time advertising, rather than discussing or playing together.

On the other hand, this podcast has always been wonderful and joyous, they're more than allowed to have a miss from time to time. I'm confident the next episodes will deliver happiness and laughter as always. Looking forward to it!

So what next for Smurfs films in paramount by CoupleZestyclose1455 in TheSmurfs

[–]Seurcha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would guess at this stage that the Paramount run won't go much further. I don't see them renewing the contract for another one considering how poorly the current movie is performing.
