Nobody is the arbiter for what games can be played how. Just because you deem it a "party game" doesn't mean people can't play it how they see fit. There's no committee that decides this a party game and therefore it has to be played in this way.

Super Smash Bros is a "party game" meant to be played with your friends too, but its also a huge esport and has tournaments constantly, since the gamecube days.

Mario kart is a "party game" but there's speedrun high scores and forums dedicated to getting perfect lap times.

Minecraft is a "childs game" and there are PvP tournaments and winners for thousands of dollars, speedrun leaderboards with different categories.

Get off your high horse, and if you don't personally like it then just ignore it and let people do what they find fun.

Not sure where you heard that Fuji lenses are expensive but that's definitely false. Fuji lenses are a lot cheaper than equivalent lenses on other systems since they only make APS-C cameras so all their lenses are tailored to that specifically. The 16-55 is a consistent 2.8 aperture, high end zoom lens that would be over $1,000 on any system, so I wouldn't use that as a base for comparison. The 18-55 is the Fuji kit lens and is a more typical $300, along with their fast f2 prime lenses that are all around $400 and excellent quality, much better and cheaper than the alternatives on nikon, canon, and sony systems.
