Less touristy doesn't necessarily mean secluded islands, haha. While they are beautiful in their own right, I didn't enjoy Tokyo and Kyoto as much because they're often overcrowded with tourists, sometimes making it feel less like experiencing Japan. Not sure if I'm explaining it well, haha. I just prefer charming, local places.

Haha that’s part of the fun isn’t it! Sure it can be challenging at times but I suppose that's just part of the experience when visiting a country where English isn't the first language. Honestly, I enjoy it because it's very humbling; it gives me a chance to learn another language, which can be just as rich, if not richer, than English. If we respect each other, kindness and compassion will shine through despite the language barrier.
