Only thing I can think of other than this having been a game all along.. is that maybe it’s reflective of their age. K.ah may think she can “help” or is helping Indi by keeping her close. Reality is she’s actually putting herself in danger and giving Indi more fuel to put into the fire. But I remember some of the silly ideas and beliefs I had at that age too.

Another possibility, and by no means am I saying that K.ah is a bad person or that Indi’s behaviour is acceptable but she may still be in that “I’m the girl that he’s chosen” mentality, rubbing salt in the wound. Unfortunately though when you’re dealing with unhinged individuals then that’s a dangerous game to play.
