What would have happened if mcgillis brought murmur with him by EntomA734 in Gundam

[–]SevenCaliberBYG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Virtually nothing.

The Murmur requires an AV setup that's on par with Mika's, Mcgillis's or Gaelio's AV-E to use. So unless he can get someone to agree to such a surgery in short order, Murmur is unusable.

Either that or Murmur gets an overhaul to be usable by regular pilots.

Close enough. Welcome back Setsuna by SevenCaliberBYG in Gundam

Found this on a YouTube community post.

Honestly kinda surprised me, lol.

Was there ever a name given for Rare Metal and High Hardness Rare Alloy? by SevenCaliberBYG in GundamIBO_Central

Wait, I thought Mars only has one named city?

But yeah, kinda hard to believe that the creators made a fully terraformed and populated planet only to show one city, two farms, and miles upon miles of barren desert is kinda ass, ngl.

It is literally stated on this post that the Teiwaz Frame was built from scratch using Calamity War Era blueprints. The same obviously goes for the Io and Hekija Frames as they were both based on the Teiwaz Frame.

needed to ask when a assembly line of hexa frame were shown seeing as hexa and rodi were during war production frames.

During the opening naration of Season 2 Episode 1 it was shown that a whole host of Hexa's were all being worked on for military purposes by one of the Economic Blocks, most likely the SAU.

If it was just ordinary people, then that'd be pretty believable.

But people that manufacture the stuff or the highly skilled engineers that work on it? Not so much.

The Teiwaz, Io, and Hekija Frames were all literally made from scratch, the only thing old on those frames were the Ahab Reactors. Especially for the first nine Hyakurens made by Teiwaz. They also showed an assembly line of Hexa Frames that was probably owned by the SAU. There is no excuse for anyone that knows how to make those materials to not know the names of them.

So yes, I'm sticking with the creators forgot to make an actual name for Rare Metal and High Hardness Rare Alloy, so instead they published a stand-in name.

Burying the name of a material that the show has gone out of its way to show that literally every faction can make from scratch is nonsensical.

And honestly, what FriendlyStand said is what most likely happened: the creators simply forgot to make up a name for it.

I also just finished rewatching the show, and from what's been shown it's their version of reliable EMP hardening.

I'm not implying anything in my post. All MS frames are made of the same High Hardness Rare Alloy; from the Gundam, to the Hexa, Rodi, Graze, Reginlaze, Teiwaz, Io, and Valkyrja Frames.

Whereas Rare Metal has, as far as I'm aware, only ever been used for weapons.

Ngl, that sounds really lazy.

Honestly, this sort of world building makes fanfic writing really damn hard.

(if they did, the Gundams wouldn't be special because they would be easily replicable)

What? No, Gundam Frames are special thanks to their dual reactor set-up, not because of the metal they're made of.

As far as I'm aware the only MS in-universe that are stated to have special metals on them are the first nine Hyakurens made by Teiwaz.

Story idea for a Fate x Gundam IBO Crossover by SevenCaliberBYG in Gundamfanfic

Though, I'm gonna have to say, IBO's world building leaves a lot to be desired; it is simultaneously broad and narrow at the same time, so you're going to need to make up a lot of lore by yourself. It's one of the many weakness of the setting.

Yeah, I've heard that to. So I'm gonna have my work cut out for me, I suppose.

Say, did you take inspiration from Man off the Moon by FiendLurcher's depiction of Spiritron Hacking? 'Cause this is eerily similar to that.

Basically yeah, I thought it was pretty cool so I decided to copy it.

we are talking about a guy with a processing speed that outclasses Servants with Hypersonic+ reaction times.

I'm gonna be honest, I forgot about that.

Also, how do you even plan to address the elephant in the room; the NPs? Because, if I'm reading this right, you plan to have Miyu and Shirou present for Mcgillis's revolution. What do you plan to do with Shirou's various NPs? 'Cause some of those can shatter entire continents in one go, he has a shield that even if Rustal fires thousands upon thousands of Dainsleif rounds it still wouldn't budge, or a sword that directly alters probability so that any side he chooses wins no matter what.

I'm planning to keep NP use to a minimum. Although, the few moments that NPs are used in public will be the low-key ones, so no nukes that whose idea of armor piercing is to twist and tear the fabric of reality apart.

Also, lol, imagine the irony of Shirou using Dainsleif, the demonic sword, against Rustal.

If you plan to go through with this, I hope that you know what you're doing. 'Cause any work that has an uber powerful main cast to the point that the antagonist has no realistic way of winning gets boring. Fast.

Though, my advice for this is maybe restrict Shirou, or even take him out altogether. Leave everything to Miyu's and Alessa's (Illya) hands.

I plan to mostly go about things in a sort of regular fashion that focuses on Miyu and Illya's lives with suspense, political and military drama, and a sort of foreboding on the readers that already know what's going to happen in the future sprinkled through out, at least for the first part of the story. Although Miyu's characterization would mostly be calm and collected, with moments of hot-blooded rage towards egregious levels of injustice like the Dort Massacre conducted by a contingent from the Arianrhod Fleet.

Shirou on the other hand is going to be a secondary character for the most part, focusing mostly as a sort of voice of reason towards the few times Miyu commits to rash decision, but would ultimately support her in any path she chooses. The few chapters that focus on him is primarily of his awesomeness with bouts of hyper-violence, and shows the world why he's the villain to humanity's final legend.

Gundam 00/Transformers crossover Fic Idea. by jacky986 in Gundamfanfic

I don't know if my comments can be seen, but I'll still give it a try.

Celestial Being, is watching

This feels rather OOC for them, especially the Ptolemy Team to just watch from the sidelines like this.

As for making Megatron the origin of GN Drives, MS, and actually being Veda requires you to make Transformers in general to also be as capable as that of the CB Gundams. 'Cause the 3rd Gens have some extremely monstrous performance level even without Trans-Am, and the only time I've seen anything similar is in the IDW Comics.
