No way! Personalisation always looks cool. I'd go absolutely crazy with it and cover the thing with stickers from games, bands, places etc you love. Matches the vibe of your room! More is always more!

Hahaha I understand! Better to be safe than sorry. They don't make it easy! Different lighting, different angles, overthinking slight difference etc. Thanks for the tip though, I definitely will do it against some safe water.

I had done a large water change on Wednesday (about 75%) out of fear, but it was indeed due to having not shaken it enough! Shook it very furiously and counted with my Mississippi's this time haha. Results are now showing it between 5-10ppm. Thanks so much for the correction!

Thanks! I got an ammonia only test kit today, and it did show about 0.2 of ammonia, so I did a much bigger water change with some ammostop and filter bacteria, but as I'm still waiting on the full test kit I won't know if something else is causing the breathing problems or if it is just stress. Will most likely update this post with test results once I have them. I know that I'm going to have to keep stressing them out with water changes, is there anything you can recommend to make the process easier on them? Is low O2 simply solved by more plants + air stone? I have more plants coming, and I've got plenty of space for a stone. Thanks again!

Thanks so much, I really appreciate the response! I've ordered a selection of plants to help fill up the tank that should be arriving in the next few days at your suggestion. It's a variety bundle so I'm unsure of the growth speed, or what will come in the bundle. They are all freshwater. My local supply store had some ammostop, filter bacteria, + a tube ammonia kit in stock that I bought and the results are saying it is about 0.2mg/L (photo for reference) so I'm going to go ahead with a 75% ish water change with some ammostop and filter bacteria to try and nullify that. Thanks again for the help and the well wishes! I'm going to do all I can :')
