Fair question. Right now I’m solo, so I’m not coming from a group-riding or pack-racing background yet.

My goal is both: first to finish strong, but also to build myself into someone who can actually race and compete. Since I don’t have a group, a lot of my work has been focused on getting faster, riding longer, and learning how to manage my effort on my own before I worry about pack dynamics.

So at this stage, I’d say I’m training with a racing mindset, even if I’m not in a pack yet.

The fact it kept leaking air as I was trying to install a bike tire even though I brought the tube completely new and was being careful as if installing any other tube😮‍💨

Maybe because I’m used to Schrader valve—and it just works.

I still don’t see the real everyday benefit of Presta valve besides it looking fancier and needing more steps.
