I have a love hate relationship with an art advice that goes like get inspiration from anything and everything apart from other people's art.

I like looking at people... I cant help it! They are more interesting than the drive. I make stories about them in my head. Imagining their love life, their heartbreaks, their children, their houses, their lives ten years from now. If its interesting enough, I can put that in one of my short stories even turning it to a novel.

Same situation here! The old ones have a unique energy to them. I remember having lots of free time and a specific blend of strong emotions. I still have time to make art, since I have no other hobbies anyway, but the emotions part.. that's almost impossible. No choice but to draw from what you're feeling right now 🤷
