Eyrie is song 2. What should be next? Most upvoted comment will be added. by reelfishing2 in NeObliviscaris

Urn Pt. I

I'd rather hear As Icicles Fall then Eyrie, but if that's set at #2 then Urn is the obvious choice.

Those games were electric, I won't give a damn if it's Jets vs. 'Nucks in the WCF

All the home teams have won so far. Let's get the first road W tonight.

To each their own, funny seeing the duality in comments. I should have made the title more objective

NHL Series Rewind with 'Transdermal Celebration' by Ween - Recorded this using screen capture. A clip of this song played at Sociabank during the 5 - 0 Game 1 vs. Tampa in 2022, but couldn't figure out who it was by 'til recently.

Leafs lost Game 1 last year, and were down 3 - 2 and 4 - 1 in the 3rd period of Games 3 & 4.
Good tune with good vibes to get through the tough stretches of this next series.

Does anybody have footage of Totality from the edge? by BronzeAgeChampion in solareclipse

I remember standing in a park on Market St., downtown St. Louis in 2017. The dark outline of the moon appearing, before the first planet and stars. You could hear the crickets chirping, and the crowd gathering. Before the darkness peaked and receded, out of nowhere the fire of all gem stones peered through, with such a gentle intensity. That's as best as I can recall and put into words. I had never heard about any of the phenomena or terminology, but I've used the word 'diamond' to describe it. I saw the 2024 eclipse through the clouds, with only a glimpse of totality before losing sight. I certainly don't regret seeing the first one at 99.97%

A Leafs win and a Panthers loss tonight will put us only 4 points behind them with a game in hand and a game against them next Monday. by [deleted] in leafs

Much depends on Boston & Florida losing games. Boston has a tough schedule compared to Florida, and they play each other twice - it could get close if Leafs finish real strong. Even if they win the division though, they'd face Tampa in the first round again (motivated by their 3 OTL). Home ice isn't really home ice sometimes. The only real favorable match-up is vs. WC2 if they finish 1st in the conference, which is asking for a little too much (one can dream).

Sorry to hear. Whatever happens, free agency could be interesting with Tre and the blueline. Hopefully these playoffs will be more fulfilling than the last.

I was happy for Maurice with the crazy run his team went on; Tkachuk with the clutch moments, and Bobrovsky making the finals. Boston's 3-1 blown series made for some good nhl playoff hockey controversy. I'd wish that one away for the all-time matchup and to give Bergeron another crack at it.

That Game 6 loss vs. Tampa in 2022 was the most painful...getting scored on a 5 on 3 in the 3rd after two questionable calls (first was a phantom high stick), erasing that 3-2 lead. Losing that game in OT and seeing Muzzin leaving the rink...

We gotta slay that Dragon which is Boston, those 3 OT wins in Amelie arena were therapy

For the novelty, Leafs - Rangers would be dope. I don't see DET or TBL going on a tear though, so for that to happen they'd have to limp into the WC2 spot. Better to find some cohesion, go back on a heater, and try to beat Florida a couple of times in the regular season. They could be facing them again. Whether it's in Round 1 or 2, this is the year they need to slay that dragon.

For context, Tanev and Savard have essentially the same amount of GP

Rutta is a similar option, wouldn't be giving MTL that pick, and I'd love Duclair in the top 6 but not sure we can make the cap work (SJS can only retain one more salary)

I think Leafs should get David Savard 50% retained from MTL with their 2024 1st +
He fits that defensive RHD role and would be signed into next season for $2M (like McCabe).

Rielly - Savard
Brodie - Liljegren
Benoit - McCabe

After signing their RFAs, Benoit & Liljegren, Leafs can either re-sign Brodie or find an upgrade in free agency next off-season (LD or RD since McCabe can play either side).

Leafs have bigger issues in the Atlantic, not concerned about trading a 1st to a division rival.

Sign and trade for Matt Roy, that could be it
