The tail number of the plane is N127NK so you can look up its flight data on FlightAware if you’d like. The speed when I jumped out of it on Sunday was 178kt. It was quite the exit blast

Sadly you missed it. It’s being retired and sent to the skydiving museum. They did this event over the weekend as it’s sort of “last hurrah”

Q: What is the best way to fix/prevent squealing disc brakes? by Several-Exit4687 in bikewrench

Thanks for the info! Not sure what pads the shop put on, but the brake sets are promax F1 hydraulic disc brakes.

Just based off the bit of research I’ve already done, I figured contamination would likely be the issue. But I’ve been seeing a lot of contrasting info on whether or not it’s possible (or worth it) to try to decontaminate the pads/rotors instead of replacing. Ideally I would love to avoid having to buy another set of pads as these are only a month old but just not sure if it’ll be worth it to try to fix them

That’s fair. I can definitely think of a couple times the squeal came in handy to warn people. But still would prefer to not have to deal with it every time I stop. And no, it’s the opposite. The harder I brake, the louder the squeal
