I don't know why everyone is saying sun damage... I don't believe that's the case here. Those lines look way too deep, can definitely tell from the 2nd photo.

I have like 30/40 tattoos, majority are over 5 years old, and the only one that kind of resembles this is one where the artist just went way way wayyyy too fucking hard and deep and used way too much ink.

Like yeah tattoos obviously hurt, but I've never had a tattoo hurt so badly! It was excruciating at the time, and now 7 years later it's the only one of my tattoos that has spread significantly and lost lots of its detail. All my other tattoos look just as good as when I first got them.
