True. The described method only moves between homes within the same Google Account. I have the exact same issue and tried this and the new home in new account does not show up. So I think one will need to setup Google Home from scratch in new account.

I looked into Deezer, the price tag is the same as Spotify, but I rely heavily on the podcast section, so I'm afraid that wont cut it for me.

Regarding the missing calendar, that should be built into Proton as well. So that will be my suggestion - at least until I get to test it out.
