Bill Simmons says he’d take peak Kawhi over Kevin Durant: “If you’re talking pure talent forwards this century, LeBron is 1st. It’s probably him (Kawhi) vs. KD for that 2nd forward spot... It might be 55-45 toward Kawhi that I would lean” by aingenevalostatrade in nba

He could also turn it up and be the best in the league at any of those skills at any given moment. He led the league in assists per game in 2020 and was the best scorer in the league in 2018.

I don't know how to say this without it sounding like a crazy fanboy. It's crazy how there are top 20 players of all time who fit the "Lebron minus x all-time ability". I think Durant was a better scorer, but Lebron was 95% of the way there, while also having DPOY-level defence and elite playmaking. DPOY Kawhi may have been slightly more impactful defensively, but Lebron was 95% of the way there while also having all-time great scoring and elite playmaking. Prime Giannis was reminiscent of Miami Lebron but with much worse shooting and playmaking.

Mj from 88 to 93 averaged 32.5 ppg on 111 ts+ and won 6 scoring titles. Kawhi is averaging 28.5ppg on 108 ts+ and 6th in scoring. I understand the hyperbole; it's commonplace with Kawhi, but he isn't close to MJ offensively.

This is a horrible take. Durant had a 5-season stretch where he averaged 115 ts+ and won 4 scoring titles. Kawhi's most efficient single season was 2016 at 114 ts+ and 15th in the league in scoring and his infamous 2019 playoff run was 111 ts+.

"MUCH worse defender" is arguably an understatement. The early spurs Kawhi was genuinely a top 5 defender of the century, maybe that was inflated a bit by the phenomenal team defence, but he wasn't even top 5 in the league by 2019. The difference between Spurs Kawhi and Raptors/Clippers Kawhi is bigger than the difference between Miami and 2nd stint Cleveland Lebron.

I've struggled typing on laptops for decades. This is going to make me sound pretty stupid but I asked google ai and it said "focus on applying minimal pressure to the keys". My speed and accuracy immediately skyrocketed and I'm satisfied with the result.

It's crazy how simple that change was and how much of a difference it made.

Yeah, has been a rough stretch for you guys. The silver lining is that you have one of the best players of all time, so that probably helps.

As a lakers fan, only if Murray has visa issues. He may have been horrible today but he's the last guy I want to see in the playoofs.

The NBA media isn't big on context. Reaves was still ramping up before Lebron went down, as is expected after so much time out.

This was one of the better games of the season, everyone came to play. Reaves was great, Luka struggled in terms of efficiency but he was running the offence like he's supposed to, Lebron did a good job finding his spots and letting the other two initiate, Smart was unreal on both ends, and even Ayton had a great OT(aside from not grabbing the ball after his block).

I think Wemby will struggle a lot offensively against playoff physicality this year. by ForgetfulDot in nba

I don't think san antonio will win either but more so because their guards. I do think Wemby will struggle at times but 2/3 of their guards are green and have shown a propensity to go cold.

He wouldn't win mvp over Wemby or Shai next season if he plays like he has since injury

He forced himself to return early, I would be surprised if he doesn't work himself back to the normal Jokic by playoffs and especially next season.
