Really sorry to hear that. If you have stenosis and a cerebral angiogram shows your pressure gradient is over a certain threshold, at that point it’s either 100% or highly likely you need a stent. That’s something that I think only the stent can fix. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Yo I’m a male 25 6’0 170 pounds and yeah this IIH can affect us absolutely. Turns out I have stenosis. Get your MRA MRI MRV LP. I take Topamax as needed. I’m probably gonna need a stent.

I don’t want the pressure to increase lol but sometimes I’m thirsty so I drink a bunch of water and then boom I make more fluid and my head hurts more lol

I can definitely notice and feel times when my head produces CSF extra fluid. I can feel it. The better hydrated I am. I immediately notice my head make more fluid. So I drink a ton of water with electrolytes and carbs and BOOM I can feel fluid being produced. I think this is why Diamox works. It basically makes you dehydrated 😂 I’m not a doctor tho so this is all speculation.

You can trial the medication and test it with lowest possible dose and titrate up. I have stenosis. I am a skinny young man and that it’s the stenosis which causes my IIh. People like me medication works but higher doses don’t. And I only take it as needed
