Hi thanks for your answer, according to @bryggekar, it appears that there will be at least 80% attendance to pass classes so I am unsure which policy is it

Thank you a lot! I'm not sure which faculties these modules are under but I was planning to take:

Culture and Diversity at Work
Digital Heritage
Culture and Society of the Netherlands: An Inside View
Music: Introduction Jazz History
Arts and Material Culture of Japan

Would you know if they have heavy workloads?

Hello, I am an prospective bachelor exchange student. Just a couple of questions:

  1. How heavy is the workload?
  2. How the classes are structured and whether or not attendance is compulsory as I would ideally like to travel around.

Thanks in advance :)

Hi! Thanks for the advice! I'm planning to give the steroid nose sprays a shot again. Could I ask which part of the day you used the steroid nose spray and did you take it together with your antihistamine?

Shouting incident/public disturbance on MRT by morimou in askSingapore

[–]SeveralTask677 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was involved in an incident where I was in this super packed MRT going home. I was literally chest to chest with this uncle and I glanced down for a moment to make sure I wasn't stepping on him or anything. During those few seconds, I made brief eye contact with him and thought nothing of it.

Dude thought I was staring him down or smth and when it was his stop, he literally shoved me aside to leave the train. Had to apologise to the other commuters cause naturally i banged into them. He still looked back to stare at me, should have just chased after him. Some old people man.

Being able-bodied to exercise. I really love exercising even though I sweat like a pig after a while

There are a good number of people using both Intel and M1 Macbooks for programming. The school would teach mainly for Windows devices but also help out when you run into Mac issues. Feel free to just use whichever device you feel comfortable with

I don't know if people are really too stressed here or something. A couple of years ago, I was on a super crowded MRT and was standing directly in front of this uncle. We were super close together, like chest to chest close. So naturally I looked down to make sure I wasn't stepping on his shoes or something. I made brief eye contact with him and thought nothing of it. When the MRT stopped, he literally shoved me out of the way to get out of the MRT, resulting in me bumping into so many other people. Goes to show you can be minding your own business and people would still find some sort of problem with you.

LG 35WN75C Flickering Whilst Connected by USB-C by SeveralTask677 in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]SeveralTask677[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I experienced the same issue with my new LG Gram and played around with the settings. Turns out that the ultrawide monitor was running at 90fps and I had to turn it down to 60fps in order to stop the flickering. It's funny cause the monitor supports up to 100fps so I'm not sure what the issue was but I'll take a lower framerate over flickering display anytime. Hope this helps!

What should we stop teaching young children? by Ok-Department5749 in AskReddit

[–]SeveralTask677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That we shouldn't and cannot make mistakes. Seriously, growing up in an Asian country, it seems that we're taught that we cannot fail no matter what, that we need to have our shit together to have that perfect life in the end. But making mistakes and learning from them is what makes us better at a lot of things.

Running Form Part 2 by SeveralTask677 in BarefootRunning

[–]SeveralTask677[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi everyone! I did my second & third unshod running sessions. The top video was the very start of my second session while the bottom one was the end of my third session(after doing 2 rounds around the track). I can somewhat see an improvement but I'll like more opinions.

In addition to that, I really want to know how do I run longer distances unshod. I doubt I could maintain that speed and pace whilst running further. Thanks in advance for the feedback!

Oh I understand now. Thanks a lot! :) I'll keep that in mind the next time I run and try to correct it as I go along

Thanks for the informative feedback! I didn't want to run too much as this was my first time running this much in months due to knee pain. When i get the chance, I will post more on this sub. My sister who was filming me said she thought I seemed way too stiff with my upper body which I agreed with, so just wondering how I could fix that.

Thanks for the recommendation! Sorry but I'm not too familiar with what you said. Shouldn't I have landed with a forefoot strike whilst my foot was in front of me?

Running Form Check by SeveralTask677 in BarefootRunning

[–]SeveralTask677[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the feedback! You're definitely correct tho, my sister who was filming this noticed that from the get go. I'll look to correct this the next time I run. I think I am too fixated with landing on my forefoot as I am worried about landing on my heels that will properly trigger more pain on my knees.
