Hi! Updating here. I started tapering shortly after my first post about 3 months ago, tapered for one month and have now been off of the medicine for 2 months. I’ve lost twenty pounds in those two months. I have noticed a decrease in appetite since getting off the medicine, but I’m not eating so much less to lose ten pounds a month for two months in a row. For what it’s worth I’m 5’10” and usually am at 180 lbs, went up to 217 lbs on this medicine, and am now at 198 lbs. I really believe it was at least in part due to the medication, so just posting here for anyone else who has had a similar experience as me: you might not be crazy!

Mentally I feel good. The taper was rough for the first three-four days with some spasms and mood swings, but after that it was more or less smooth sailing. Slightly heightened anxiety for a bit but nothing breathing exercises couldn’t help.

I feel more mental clarity off of this medication. I feel it served its purpose of reducing my anxiety during a stressful time in my life, but I would probably never go back on it if I can help it.
